what exactly does that entail? where you live? how did you receive it?

Gypsy here.... checking out your grow... nice, I like it !!!

I will do a little rambling about lights further down.. please excuse me... I am an idiot with the habit of volunteering advice... hahaha...

Which brings me to your roots...

They have a little root rot form your RW cubes being too wet...

I have a suggestion... it's a bit lengthy.. but read these 3 threads like homework... swim through it all and you will come out better growers for sure...

I've always woundered should you skeewz some of water out of the RW before putting seedlings in? my reasons for thinking so are to prevent root rot. I usally leave about 1/2 the water in the RW that it soaks up. Any comment of suggestions about soaking RW???

Stoner is right...

You should NEVER squeeze RW... EVER...

Unlike a piece of foam, it does not spring back... limiting the amount of air present in the cube...

The cube should also NEVER EVER BE WET/SOAKED...

Damp is what you are looking for...

If you shake a damp cube, no water will fling out...

Damp never wet...

I agree with not suggesting LED's... not for a few years anyways...

You can probably get the parts at your local lighting supplier... They have in AK for $60, I know they got it in the States for less cash...















or you could just buy the kit too....

A cooltube will help you get rid of heat issues, and allow you to treat the HPS almost like a fluorescent light.. really close without burning...

I know.. money.. fans.. lights.. but believe me.. there is a WORLD of difference in flowering with low intensity rather than HIGH INTENSITY ...

I couldn't believe the difference in the same strain...

I run a 600 watt HPS in a cool tube inside of a homemade tent that measures 36x20x54... and I have no trouble keeping it at 75F...

Not telling what to do, but pretty soon you will have 317 watts of cfls all over the place, not putting out nearly as many lumens/par as the HPS and it is just a hassle... fluffly buds.. cords everywhere...

I don't know.. I guess light and plants are kind of like oil and engines...

Any oil is better than no oil, but the correct type of oil is infinitely better than the incorrect one...

Also... don't waste your money upgrading 17.3 times...

Save up and buy the right shit, go one step bigger than you think you will ever need, believe me... you will thank your self...

Buy once, never have to upgrade again...

I was using CFLs and decided I needed a 400 watt HPS.. so I bought a 600... ... I wanted a 4"/270cfm fan .. so I bought a 6"/424cfm fan...

Now, I have a little more space, and if I decide to go bigger I do not need to buy a new light, new fan, new ... shit is expensive...

Smell... ha!

Most likely you do have an Mg deficiency. Tap water is most likely to contain a high amount of Calcium, which will lock out the Magnesium. Don't over-do the epsom salt or you'll end up locking out Ca! I had the same issue before.

were in cali so medical marijuana is legal. To get it prescribed your gonna need a diagnosis from a doctor for chronic pain, anxiety, chronic headaches. There are a bunch of illnesses that will allow you to get prescribed marijuana.

After you have your doctor note, go to a medical marijuana doctor(search internet for one or ask people who have card which doc they went to) and they will prescribe it for you, it cost 150 in registration fees a year but the reduced stress make that 150 worth it.

so this doesn't make it legal for you to grow it though does it? Just for you to posses it? Do they actually prescribe you marijuana or what?

Yes in we are allowed to grow 24 plants and posse 1 pound or somethin. If you wanna learn more read prop 215 and senate bill 420(yes it was really bill 420) well those only apply to californians but there are 12 other states that allow medical marijuana.

Yeh nice to see some people taking interest. and Thanks Growinman for all the feedback, you've been here since the begining. We've come along way since we started.

Update:

Changed the rezs today and our girls is lookin fab. buds are puttin on size.

Our seedlings are comin along, well for seedlings.
Hope to see some new growth from the clone soon.

congrats thus far hydrobandit, are you normally supposed to take clones from the plant in veg stage? i just recently tried cloning last night on my two plants and i dunno if they are gonna survive (they seem very lettucey-like)....

Also how soon should i be able to sex my plants? they are week 3 in vegging, and still cant tell :\ Check it out in my sig

3 weeks is early to tell. around week 4-5 of veg you should be able. or a week or so after you go 12/12 you will be able.

and panhead's filterhttps://www.rollitup.org/grow-room-design-setup/63004-my-3-carbon-filter.html to sit on top of the intake where the normal filter would go.

Not sure how well it works to far but the fan was near free from salvation army so can really go wrong.

Anyone that maps ther net pots before hand is up to things haha sounds good man going to check the threads...Panhead keeps it simple man..Deffinetely listen to him.

how close should cfls be on clones/seedlings? i read somewhere here for clones, 6" away first day then gradually closer from then on... im attempting my first cloning right now, one looks kinda wilting and the other sort of too but standing up better... been 3 days since i put them 6" away from fluros, bout to turn on the cfls that are right next to them, but i dont know if its growing roots yet cuts its in rockwool and i dont want it to grow too fast without roots cuz that = DEATH!!

We are getting a 2ft 2 bulb T5 setup from a dude off craigslist. for 30 bones. Gonna put it above the seedlings and clone.
