def lookin burned. id scale back on everything and just keep em on the light n let em perk up for a few days see if that helps. ive only been studying hydro setups the last few months but from what ive read soil wise a little water goes a long way but i know nothing about MG soil so cant tell ya if thats whats causing that. I would assume too much nutes in it though maybe? im on my first grow learning as well i went hydro though. will def follow another fellow newb and try to help out lol come check out mine if ya like.

I've heard nothing but bad things about MG soil. HOWEVER.....I will say I successfully harvested over 20 plants w/ MG and CFLs. Maryjane will go all the way to harvest w/ no nutes and shitty soil. Granted, your yield will suffer significantly, but you'll still make weed. Smokeable weed. ...and it'll be a magical moment. I felt like I'd created the wheel the first time I felt a head change off my own weed.

THEY say (they being the weed growers out on the innerweb) that MG has nutes in it that will burn your girlies. It's made to re-release stuff into the soil every time it's watered, and it's too strong for the girlies. Again, I've done it. My plants were ugly, but they made it to the promised-land.

Last go round I went with fox farms soil and the fox farms nutes w/ better lighting and a better setup. HUGE difference. I also found out the hard way it's better to underwater them than overwater them. Less is more.

Keep pluggin along. You're getting there. The hard part is waiting for them to grow.

Raise your light up abut 18" to 20" of the top of the highest plant, you are evaporating the water faster than it can be supplied it is light stress.
As for the MC soil it is just fine, it releases at a rate that is very low, lower than fox farms dirt does. next vist this site and get you some Mycorrhizal and use it soon to help the plants recover faster. MycoGrow™ Soluble http://www.fungi.com/mycogrow/index.html

Put them into a 5 gallon pot as soon as you can, it holds more water and the plants retain more water even in higher heat levels. Also start to use Pro-tekt to help the plant retain water as well and it builds the plant defenses up faster.

Yes all plants need a time out to develop better, roots and leaves will develop fast with a few hours of dark time. This is just from my observation over the years.

I'm using Organic Choice MG, seems to be doing the job.
I didn't nute it until 10 days in at 1/4 strength. I'd say water it every 5 days with plain water (check the Ph, make sure is 6.5ish) and they should perk up.
Subbed!

gfreeman, we all have been there at one point in time or another. Every grower experiences set backs very similar to your situation. My first grow was almost identical to yours.... we all have to learn the hard way. However, with that being said, as long as you stay here and learn from the experienced growers and from others you will in turn learn and apply that knowledge to your own grow. I am almost ashamed to show these pics but I gotta remember how I started to where I am now. Don't get discouraged, you can always start again and apply what you have learned to your second grow. Just to show you that your not alone here are some pics from my first grow. I started with 6 plants and only 1 made it to maturity. It was a small small plant and only yielded about 1/2 a gram. I dried out the stem and kept it as my good luck charm. I know, weird, but it's kinda like my good luck horseshoe.

Peace and positive energy to you

:joint:

I subbed to your grow as well.

wow, half a gram. i surely hope i get more than that. lol. but i completely understand what ya mean. i shall keep the hope alive, and hopefully also the plants. lol. im just so tired of getting shafted from the punk ass dealers in the cc area. i lived in the bluff at one point in time, and u could buy meth at ANY time of the day, but getting some bud, you were better off growing ur own.seems all they like to sell down here is coke, crack and meth. and to be honest, not a big fan of anyof this. SO now i live over they bridge in a 'port' land. lol. and well, needless to say. i wish i had some green for the time being.

SO TRUE! Corpus Christi has a large number of meth labs in operation at any given time. The reason behind this is that meth is easy to make and highly profitable. Not to mention is one of the most addictive substances. I have never ever taken meth nor do I have plans on doing so. As for the other stuff thats easy to obtain, I stay away from it all. My love is Mary Jane and only Mary Jane. I felt your pain and decided to take matters into my own hands. Then by a stroke of luck and knowing a few people that share similar interests as me I ended up here. I have no regrets.

SO MY PLANTs are showing new growth. which is good. first time ive watered in a week. i noticed one is getting light green, yellowish leaves? hmm. also noticed that my grapejuice colored stems, "they were a deep pruple red", and now turning light yellow/green?

other than that they seem to be slowing coming back to life. ive been tempted to just scrap em and start over, but, the still growing so i figure ill give em a chance. plus, nothing teaches better than first hand experience. thanks to all who check in on my lil garden of love. lol. as i love to garden. plus i hope to get some good yields if any at all. i need te exp. seeing as i have a new friend in town that can provide WW clones. which is the sweetest fucking thing ive heard in a looong loong time. RIU IS THE BEST.

na man dont scrap them, just lay of the nuts for a while and go slow with the watering since your using the MG soil. and keep giving them a rest period like you are doing. they will come back and do you right if you do them right.

Same here.. Can't say that from rep on the street that MG is anythin great.. but at the same time I actuallyl have only used MG (when it comes to Soil grows(i'm a hydro grower, soil used for bonsai mums). In terms of my bonsai mums.. the MG soil actually is perfect. However I should mention that I am not a grow expert.. just someone with a handful of harvests. Like i said i've never used other soil..but from the way my mums thrive.. and the way that I deliberately rootbind the plants and give them very litle soil (mums are in .5L pots).. and they still have zero problems so I'm guessing the MG does its part and has what it needs. I should mention that the rule of thumb is to fertilize mums once a month, however I don't fertilize at all. Meaning I was expecting to re-pot probably no more than a few months (not just rootbound but no more nutes in soil).. however a couple of mums have been sitting like this for over half a year.. no fertilize and no new soil.. and they thrive. LOL.
I'm guessing this miracle of MG won't last long ;)

Anyhow thats my 2 cents on MG soil.. IMO with the PH problems and price of FF.. i understand some bad reviews of MG but again I personally can't say anything bad.
