I am just curious. When you picked up your clones did they come exactly as you have them? In those exact pots? If they where transplanted into those pots you have and more medium added then they should definitely receive a week or even two of veg to establish roots in there.
Also, have you though of, since you are getting the cuts at 2’ and shoving them directly into flower anyways, have you considered dividing the room up by plant number and time? What I mean is, filling a quarter of the room, two weeks later fill another quarter in, etc. Getting a perpetual harvest set up.
That’s a lot of bud to trim all at once. If you staggered the room it wouldn’t be such a long wait followed by an unbearable fuck ton of trimming.

Im not necessarily a fan of running multiple strains in a room BUT you have a large set up. Running perpetually you could dedicate one or two tables to another strain or two allowing you to search for other genetics you may be interested in rather than having all your eggs in one basket.

@canope i admire your ambition.

what's "not great" in your book?

are you looking to sell these lights?
I’mnat around 400 umol because of the distance, if they were closer I’d get around 800 umol. The lights are great I’m just too far from them. I’m actually looking to buy more, I’m opening a new spot where I can fit 30-40 lights and will probably go with the same lights.

They came in those pots, I’m pretty sure they veged them a while in there because there was roots coming out at the bottom. I received them at 12-16 inches tall.
As for perpetual growing, I’m staring another room that will be twice the size so will be harvesting every month :)

This is a solid recipe that’s been working well for me.
That’s exactly what I’m going with next. I made the recipe for 1000L here if anyones interested:

subbed for the meijiu bar led grow. im looking to do something similar and trying to decide between bars or board lights. 20-30 lights per room. the only caveat is i dont use AC. i run in non sealed vented rooms so no CO2. how are you controlling your bar lights? if they have manual dimmers i dont imagine they are on an automated smart light controller?

You 100% need AC, there’s no way you can run that many lights without it. I use the PWM dimmer that Meijiu sent me

Na man I'm fine without ac. Unless these run hotter than 1kw DEs overdriven to 1200w.

What driver are they using to get 650w? The 600 series meanwell drivers max at 600w right?

Are you in Alaska? They’re Meanwells but not sure which model, they do take 650w from the wall, tested.

I'm in maine. I have my rooms setup specifically for intake/exhaust environment control. It gets tricky during the dead of summer but I use my controllers to dim the lights to keep temps Down if we have a really hot day. I'd setup a controller similarly dim if temps exceed X in the room

This is 1/2 of the 16 light room they operate with a NO and NC duct damper using a thermostat. Depending on the outside temp the fan speed ramps up or down adjusting the speed at which the room exchanges the air. I'm hoping switching to led will be more efficient then running these DEs. If 600-700w of bar LEDs can match my yields and quality of my 1kw DEs I'm sold!

You don't wanna use Co2 then hu?

Sorry to derail your thread friend. I'm real interested in how these bar lights work for you. I've been real Leary with all the led hype in regards to yield and quality numbers compared to 1000w DEs.

Those dripper sprinklers you're using won't take long before they clog. And when it comes time to replacing them i break the fitting off in the tubing every single time lol. I've now switched over to netafim spray stakes

Any questions or comments are welcome. The more we discuss the more we learn. That’s the reason why I did this post. It’s my first run so I won’t know until I harvest mid septembre. From what I hear those lights should be as good or better than a 1000w DE. We’ll see. As for the sprinklers clogging, so far no problem, I do have a filter from the bin out to the sprinklers and I use a solution I cant remember the name but it’s 5ml/L and it smells like chlorine, my hydro guy makes it and swears by it obviously. Once I finish the run I’ll send a few 1000L of water and that solution thru the whole system to clean it, if that doesnt work I’ll just change the stakes ‍♂

ah man it just looks so good!

is raising them out of the question? or even drop the lights...gotta be worth it

I might raise them I’m just scared they would fall. Unless I have something bigger than the upside down pots of the same size, I need to think of something haha
