First Grow Ever - CFL - Bagseeds (pictures)

Whats up guys, so basically ive been smoking for a while and just started thinking about getting a grow op going for myself just to mess around with and see how it goes. I got a small grow going in my closet. Not real sure on what to expect, i was hoping to get advice on way and from what i have already read (ive read alot but i want some suggestions too). So what i have done so far is put 3 bagseeds in a jiffy pre-germinator and put that under some lights. I also have a fan in room blowing at all time. I have 3 sprouts going so far.

Started On 4/4/08
4 26w bulbs - Daylight 6500k
1 Other flourscent light ( ill get details later )
1 Small room fan
18/6 Hours on lights.

I would love any and all advice from any expierenced growers about anything. If you really want to help my project with advice feel free to pm me. Advice about anything from times, lights, nutrients, soil. Just anything as the project goes. Thanks everyone.

looks good. keep up the good work. i use kelloggs soil. i get it from Lowe's and just mix it with some perilite.

'I agree, if not more lights just move those things 1" from the tops of the lil buggers.

Alright i moved those lights closer to the plants. I wll prob go get more lights today, i was just using 1 light at first but i added those other CFLs the other day so pretty excited to see how they grow with all the new lights.

About how many more lights do you think i will need?

For your soil question heres the best additives.

40% composted soil
30% worm castings
20% perlite
10% dolomite, guanos, goodies, etc

I haven't personally done soil, so I can't really say whats the best to use, but thats usually the percentage you want to shoot with for a good full soil grow. Just stick away from MG, if you're going to use MG just go with the organic version.

I use 8 lights for 3 plants. Thats for a full veg growth. If you're growing 6, I'd say go with MH. If you want to stick with CFL I'd say 75w per plant if you want them decent size. Just make sure your lumens gets around 3000-5000/sqft.

Ok Sweet thanks toolage i appreciate the help alot. I was also wondering about nutrients? I for sure want to get some for these to make sure they grow strong but when should i worry about that? Should i have already added some?

don't add nutes until usually 2-3 weeks from the first leaf set. they are still technically seedlings until that time. Once your in veg state (2-3 weeks from seedling stage)you can start off with light nutes, about 1/4 strength. Make sure your water has a balanced pH. Correct me if I'm wrong but your pH should be around 6.5-7. Foxfarm nutes are really good soil nutrients. When I do a soil grow that's the nutes I will be using.

4/7/08 - Day 4

Moved the three sprouts to bigger 1 gallon buckets.
Added Aerogarden to closet grow.
- 7 Germinated seeds placed in AG.
Soil i bought day.

SOIL
Foxfarm Light Warrior Organic Mycorrhizae & humic acid.
Schultz Perlite
Vermiculture

I was reading good things about the Mycorrhizae and Foxfarm.
From what i see on the back its pretty good.
Earthworm Castings
Mycorrhizae
Humic acid
P.H 6.3-6.8
