First Grow Ever. How do I know when to start flowering.

This is my baby Matilda (yes I named her). I am completely new to growing and received her as a gift when she was much smaller but already in veg. She's got a bit of yellowing, but I think I've started to remedy that with better fertilizing and watering.

I'm wondering how I'll know when to change to 12/12 AND, How will I know when it's time to transfer her to a bigger pot.

The best advice anyone can give you is to tell you to do alot of reading.
Get a good book and soak up as much info as you can. Knowledge is as valuable as good genetics and equipment.

You could put her into flowing right now if you wanted to, keep in mind she will stretch up to three times the height it is during flowering. This looks like an indica dominant strain which are typically less prone to drastic height changes during flower but that's all genetics so who knows. If your not in a rush you could read about pruning techniques like topping, LST, etc to improve your yield.

As for the re-potting there's lots to read about when to repot and how but when it comes down to it really you just know its time to repot. I tend to notice the watering schedule becomes much sooner than it used to be. I like to water small amount more frequently and one day I realize wow I'm watering this damn thing every day. If I ignore that growth rates slow down shortly after then its a rush its definitely time to repot.

Because you just switched to "better fertizering and watering" Id recommend doing nothing for a week or so to see how she responds. Then repot maybe then switch to 12/12 if you desire. baby steps not all at once keeps things stress free and healthy.

Hey man I honestly can't quite tell from your pics but beware that yellowing can be a sign of over fertilizing just as it can be a sign of under fertilizing. I over fed my first two grows before I learned my lesson. Too many nutes will kill lower foliage just as too little will; both can cause larger problems from there

Nice looking plant though! If you choose to repot it make sure to give it some time (1-2 weeks) before you switch it to flower, for me repotting tends to stunt growth and stress the plant a little

You can start flower whenever you want tbh.
But if you want the plant to fully veg though wait till you see the nodes start becoming uneven
