First grow ever.. Small tent

I have recently purchased a 30" x 18" x 36" tent.. Specifically this one:

I have never grown before but I have spent the past few months reading forums as well as growweedeasy.com and in the next week or so I'd like to get up and going.

If you were growing in an area that small, would you only grow one plant or would you push it to 2 or more? I believe I am going to attempt to do a SCROG setup if I can figure out how to build a good screen.

This is the light I purchased with plans to use supplemental CFL lighting during the flowering stage:

I think you could easily grow 2 plants in this tent...4 if you wanted to push it. I would go with some cree 18 watt led bulbs instead of the cfls, better light, less electricity and cooler. It will be interesting to see how the led you got off ebay does in this tent, but it looks like it should work well. Best of luck with your grow!

I would recommend LST'ing using close hangers or tying down. I think it's easier than SCROG. I think you could probably do 2 plants. In 2.5-3 gallon pots, 2 will fill it up pretty good. What strain are you planning to grow and what size pots? I'd also look into getting a full spectrum LED. 150w or so would be good for that size.

If you ScrOG, you could build a frame out of pvc, then purchase netting and just hook it onto the four corners (easier than trying to weave the whole grid). Go for 2" squares (not 1"). Scrog it, IMHO.

That light will veg really well. If you scrog and really spread the growth out to allow really good penetration to all the branches I think you will enjoy your results. No more than 2 plants though. Just my $0.02.

That light has done really well for a lot of people. You should be fine. I'm currently using that same tent with a 150w hps and getting great results.
