First Grow- few Questions/ Will Add Photos & keep this going for other 1st timers

-What r the essentials when it comes to choosing Soil and Nutrients when starting from seed?

-Trust worthy site for seeds? I orderd from Attitude last wed i will update this when i get them

you can use any grow and bloom fert that you can get. any will do. no need to get expensive stuff.

soil just get a pro mix or something similar that is soil-less that way u only need to worry about what you put into it (fert) and is the most forgiving.

i really know nothing about planting. i got some clones last summer. planted them. and got good results. once you have plants in your hand and harvest. i mean how can u not fall in love with the marijuana growing stage.. now im gonna grow.. bc i can now. so when they say noob.. i am a perfect example. although i have learned alot thu this site about setting up and preparing lighting ect. when it comes to soil and nutrients i havnt a clue where to start. all i know is miracle grow is bad. if i can get down the soil and nutrients i think ill be ight

Basics for soil - don't buy soil with fertilizers, especially time released.

Nutes - look up the Lucas formula and kiss method. Start with one of those two unless you want organic

I will agree, no soil with nutes. Roots organic is a good starting point that is available most everywhere. A lot of people use Fox Farm, also readily available. Both offer multiple products so know what you are getting.
Nutrients however i would just look into dyna gro, dont worry about lucas method or anything like that, just some dyna gro and go. Can honestly use grow all the way through from start to finish, a little Protekt and that should be all you need.
Subcool has a super soil recipe that works great for older plants, but start them off in a soil with no nutes.

what sites did u guys use for seeds? i orderd feminized autoflower from attitude (failry expensive). turns out i read today that u cant clone autoflower buds. soo ill prolly snag a pack of reg and use a male for seeds so i dont have too keep orering. im a keep rolln with the autoflower buds. seem to be more appealing to me. first grow so that could change.

that stuff would be fine
you just want something that has decent water retention but has good drainage as well
it says it has micro and macro nutrienets but doesnt show what but it should be fine

This is also my second grow, my first time went without any troubles. This time it seems just the opposite :/ however, for soil I just transplanted them in to fox farms ocean forest soil with 30% Perlite, lots of people are using it, I will also be buying fox farms trio for nutes. Good luck!

sprite cans looks like it is doing the trick. that would be pretty reflectant.. i used a SS big salad bowl. pretty reflectant. drilled a hole through it. added a conector so there is 2 26watters in it. Im a hang one over each plant. and also have a 2 cfls on the side of the plants. + im prolly runnin the auto flower 20/4. i have a big window near the closet they will get natural light as well thru the window. u think that will work alright?

Kiss method uses maxibloom only throughout full plant like with some koolbloom enter of flower. Lucas only uses two part. Tru's method works for him. We're both saying not to get sucked into the expensive multi part with thousands of additives.

Order a regular auto and seed one round. Should keep going for a bit. Can't clone them

ya im lookin into the regs. u cone produce usable seeds from males right? if i get the reg i should get at least 1 male. move it into another room and grow it for the sole purpose of seeds? i can do that right?

yea you can do that...

just make sure it is nowhere near your flowering girls.

if you just want a few seeds on some reg females that you got and dont watn ur buds full of seeds.....once the male lets loose pollen.....just collect some on a paper or a paint brush (liek art paint brush type)

brush it on a lower bud or one you select and then seal the branch of with a clear plastic bag and rubberband it to seal it....you could also drop the pollen from the paper in the bag ....then cover the branch you want...rubberband it...then tap the bag all aroudn so the pollen flies around...

let it be for a day or few....then take the bag off.....but when you do....you need to be spraying mist all over everywhere with a spray bottle so that no rouge pollen gets to your othe rbuds (when it hits the water it is no longer viable)

Make sure no one can see through your window into your grow the lights should be ok for veg (remember more is always better) and for flowering you will need more.

ya maybe i should add more. i was thinkin 3 a plant plus a big bay window which really brightns up the room. and ya furshur knowone will b able to see. haha wouldnt that be somethin.
