first grow/flowering. how do they look

I flipped to 12/12 exactly 3 weeks ago. I veged them for 5 weeks. Topped once and defoiled and lst'd durring veg to throw tons of tops.

6 plants in aeroponic 38 gallon tub (seperate nute tank)

Vegged with 1000k MH
Flowering with 1000k hps

Lights on temp steady 75 degrees

Lights off temp steady 69
degrees

Humidity 40-55%
280cfm fan vented through hood into attic
2 fans inside for circulation.

They are very healthy and never showed any sign of stress.

Question 1: i know they are very early into flower (21 days) but by looking at the colas in the pics, do you think they will connect and form one whole bud? Will the white hairs start to fill in with leafy material to gain size?

Lots of my colas are about 6-7 inches long, and nodes are less then and inch a part. Do you see any of the colas weighing over 5 grams cured ? I really have yet to see so many tops in others journals, do you think there is too many?

I would like to take any quesses on dry yeild from anyone. I know people hate this but i figure you have enough info and they are far enough along at this point to get close

Very nice. Considering aero i could see the colas hitting 5gs but Its nearly impossible to guess the final weight. it looks like you've done everything possible so its up to the genetics now. Looks nice keep it up.

And on your question 1. Its strain dependent. Some grow smaller golf ball size dense nugs and some grow long full colas not as dense. Both are good tho

Thanks for the response. Yeah i think i have pretty much done all i can at this point so i will just have to wait and see. Ive never harvested before so i have no idea how she will yield. Thanks

What size is your room? By the looks of it at 21 days that looks wonderful. With that many tops i usually see people scroggin.

They are about 5x4 ft of canopy. At 2 weeks I was very surprised at how developed the buds were. They popped very fast. But seemed to have stalled over the past week with size increase, im hoping they will pick back up. Kinda looks like they wont be too fat. m using gh 3 part nutes plus diamond nector, floralicious plus and liquid cool bloom. At this stage my PPMs are pretty stable at 1080. I was thinking about boosting them up a little but figured i should keep with it because they seem happy.

I know people debate about defoiling but I doubt there is any negative issues durring Veg, everytime on stem was growing higher I would defoil it and lower growth would sky rocket. That canapy was only topped once and purely manipulated with defoilation. Then one heavy defoilation before flower. It slowed the stretch down durring flower ( maybe stretched only 5 inches which I believe to be a good thing. Why grow them taller then your light can penetrate. I cant even count how many tops there is. I will update new pics in a few days.

Looks like you can fit more in that room. Why not get the most of your light/space. Looking good. Hope to see some updates/pics

Yeah its about 6x10 but i also have some clones and a dina fem fruit auto in cocco that you cant see. The auto looks like shit though. It was gifted to me a week before i was flowering my others. So as expected it stretched due to the fact it was under 12/12. The clone looks awsome though. Its in the middle of the first pic. The whole plant is a football nug.

Here is a few more updated pics. Tomorrow will be 4 weeks of flower. I have noticed a bit more of growth and a lot more trichombs forming. I almost need to defoil a little because the canopy is dense again and lower buds are hating the shade. Last defoil really helped and i saw huge improvement in days. However i have tons of trichombs on even my fan leaves and i dont want to pluck them for hash or oil making.

Tmrw will be week 5. Looks like they may have plumped up a little. However I have noticed more trichombs and the pistals are starting to turn yellow/amber. They say to be an 8-10 weeks strain. Im no expert but they kind of seem to be moving along fast and 8 weeks seems to be feesable. Heres some new shots.

If i were you from looking at those last pics i would go 10 weeks at least.

Dang, i thought they looked a little ahead of schedule. I will definitely wait until they are ready anyhow. I plan on waiting till the trichombs are milky with maybe 20% amber. Thanks for the reply.

Try taking some when the trichomes are 90% cloudy 10% clear. By the time it dries and cures you'll have about 100% cloudy trichomes. Amber is a sign of the trichome head's THC changing into other substances.

Seeing as how you seem to have done everything you could have. On here and every other forum i go on the goal is always 1 gram per watt so is that what your hoping for?

Thats what I was shooting for, but I highly doubt it. Im guessing 9 oz total. But then again I have no idea. Im not sure how much they will fatten up. I have tons of nice tops, but also tons of small buds. Im not sure if the small buds will grow much bigger. I think i should of grew them about 10 inches taller so my colas were longer. I guess only time will tell.

Theres quite the debate on these boards about defoliating...the pros and cons both make sense but u might be at the perfect point in your grow to perform a little experiment.
My friend and i have found that removing alot of the big leaves helps the smaller buds catch up and if your not comfortable doing all of them id try defoliating half of em and seeing if a week or two helps those smaller buds catch up.
