First grow. Got few ?'s. PLZ HELP

Hey everybody. this is my first time growing. i have done alot of reading and i think i have learned alot. But the plant is about 2 to 2 1/2 weeks i believe. i dont know exactly. its around there though. But i just want to know if the plant looks alrite? Also my set up isnt all the best. i currently have it growing in my room on my desk. i got a lamp over it with 2 cfl's on it. i dont kno what wattages they are because they were just laying in the basement, but yesterday one of the leaves touched the light and got kind of burnt n had to tear off like half the leaf. i was wondering if it would be alright or if i would have to start over? if there are any other suggestions please help.


one last thing is im kind of limited on supplies and money. so if theres any ghetto suggestions that will get the job then shoot em my way.

What soil are you using, any nutes added yet?
As far as the lighting goes, two cfl's will only get you so far, and throughout the growth of your plant you're going to have to add a lot more bulbs, especially for flowering. Though I started out much the same as you, except I had one 24" floro tube. My best advice is don't skimp out on lighting, because down the road you're gonna find out that you need the extra lumens. I'd suggest saving up and either investing in a lot of clf's, or buy a hid system.

Yes i realize there is a bit of stretching, but hopefully that part has stopped. But since my lil bro is the one who started the grow he used miracle grow. i read some bad stuff bout that soil, but then again ive seen alot of really good grows with it. and no i havent added any nutes. I was told that i dont necessarily need nutes but it would help alot. if anybody has a price range on them that would help. with the lights i know 2 cfl's wont do. im getting 6 27watt cfl's and 4 24watt cfl's on sunday or monday. i believe those are the wattages. But im gettin 10 more lights. I also know those 10 lights most likely wont work when i get to flowering either. but the only thing with the lighting is that i dont have a good spot for the grow. its in my room right now on my desk under a lamp. I dont know about those extension cord things with the light thing on the end. i dont know too much bout electrical stuff. But im open to take in any advice.

i dont really mean i dont have any cash for the grow. i just mean i wont be able to spend hundreds of dollars on all the stuff. im looking for a simple grow. its my first grow so im just looking to try and grow one successfully right now and get an ok yield. i was trying to figure out if theres a way to start the flowering earlier to try and keep the size down.
