First Grow - GSC and Bruce Banner Auto - Need Advice Please

Hi, I've never grown anything in my life and have started a small indoor grow. Girl Scout Cookie auto and Bruce Banner auto. Both were feminized seeds purchased from ILGM.

I started with a 2x4 tent from yield labs, but it ended up being too short, so I upgraded to a spider farmer 2x4 that's about 6.5ft tall.

The light I used is a Spider Farmer SF2000. I'm also using an AC Infinity Cloudline T6 inline fan with ducting going into an AC Infinity Air Carbon Filter for odor control.

Seeds were germinated in moist paper towels between two paper plates in a dark closet.

Both were planted in Foxfarms Ocean Forest soil.

Seeds went into soil on 10/12/21.

I used a small amount of Foxfarms Tiger Bloom for about two weeks on the GSC, and I'm using the Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom on Bruce Banner during the 8th/9th weeks because Bruce is going much much slower than GSC.

I am trying to determine when to harvest the GSC, and I think it might be time now. I purchased a jeweler's loupe, but it's hard to tell whether I'm seeing more than a few amber heads on the trichomes. I have taken several pictures with my phone, but can't get a great up close view on whether the GSC is ready to harvest.

I've also had some leaf issues with the Bruce Banner, and I'm not sure how to fix it.

Any tips on harvesting the GSC and how to help Bruce Banner get back to health would be great. I think I'm going to let Bruce keep going for another month because he's just starting to thicken up now, but I'm not sure if hIs buds are going to ever get as big as the GSC.

tl;dr
Is it time to harvest the GSC? Will Bruce get bigger buds? How do I fix Bruce? Let me know what you guys think.

They look ok but you got a long way to go. Plants are looking hungry.

If you feed it GSC has 3 weeks left.

That banner has 6-8 weeks. It is looking very sativa dom. That is just how a sativa dom plant grows.

Feed them with some base nutes.

Wow, 3 weeks? I was ready to start cutting down the GSC this week. Thanks for stopping me. When you say base nutes, is the FoxFarm trio of liquid nutes ok? The tiger bloom/bloom/grow big? Any idea what combination?

Yeah those should work. I do not use them so i can't say what you should be feeding. Other members use that and hopefully one of them can help you feed that plant.

If you have not done so...it may be a good idea to flush your soil. Most likely you also have some salt build up.

Run a lot of clean properly ph water through the plant. Flush the bad out. Then feed it. Over time the plant will discard what It does not use and that will build up in the soil causing problems.

I haven't been feeding the GSC any nutes for a few weeks. PH of water/soil should be around 6.5 or so when I water? I've been giving the GSC about 2/3rds of a gallon every day and the Bruce Banner gets the last 1/3rd of a gallon with some nutes. I put a few drops of lemon juice in my tap water to lower PH to about 6.5 before I water.

So maybe not a build up of salt. Just need to feed haha. Feed till the finish line. You got a long way to go.

What are you using to be able to tell they need another three weeks? I want to learn.
Experience. You still have white hairs. All the hairs will be brown and receded before you even start to check trichs. Plant usually finished week or 2 after they all turn brown.

Mine got a lil crispy at the end on my last grow. I messed around with some finish nutes and it did not go well.

Hairs are brown. Plant is swollen. Still not done though.

Don’t worry about the trics yet. Watch and see in about 3 weeks they will swell. To me easiest way to describe is when they look like grapes like the pic. Then u can check tri if you want to. And the hairs recede.on the autos and fox trio. Use 1/4 what it says to use and every other feeding. Wouldn’t water until pots feel light also.
Nothing you can do about the crispy leaves now and hard not to have issues using fox trios

Do you have a suggestion for a slightly bettet or more complicated nutrient regimen?
