Yeah it is softened before the ro filters and I don't use cal mag supplements either, should I start using them?
edit: that ooosh sounds bad! I have 2 taps one is just softened water and the other is run through the ro filter, which one should I be using?

Well done, yes it will be needed (Mg+Ca prob Fe too).

I#m wondering whether RO filters can remove the excess salts from the softening process??

I'm not too sure, my softener has a brine tank which is supposed to take the salt out of the water but I honestly have no clue how well it works. Will the ec meter tell me any of that
edit: also my ro system says it can desalinate sea water so I'm hoping it will remove the salts.

I have some calimagic from general hydroponics I will start using, should I use this every time I water or only when I'm not feeding?

Great, should be okay then . . . .

Calimagic, yes what we will want to be doing is adding it every watering and feeding, but at only about 0.4EC . . . . I'd think half teaspoon per gallon, in every bit of fluid that passes through the root ball, inc. feeds :) . . . if you have a spray gun, mix up a a quarter strength solution and apply it to the tops and undersides of all the leaves . . . . :)

Do you draw fresh water and mix feeds or do you use a small reservoir or stored water??

Great.

One quick side note . . . . When mixing feeds, start with the Calimagic and mix thoroughly, then add the rest of the schedule . . .

AND????????

Always PH your mixes, for now, 6.6ph

If your PH was naturally dropping to 5.9/6.0ph because of the addition of your nutrient, then yes, we'll need to bring it up to the 6.6 mark.

What were you using to bring your water down to the 6.0ph mark? And were you using any of it to brig down feed ph levels?

I guess I should get some ph up or something then?

Not using anythING so far other than my fox farm nutes, that is the ph of my soil and not the water I only have a soil meter I don't know if that makes a difference.

Ahhh ok so the PH readings we've been witnessing are of your soil? Is your soil PH meter a digital one or a copper probe analogue one?

Great you've got a digi PH turning up soon. Now we will be able to control the PH of the soil and root ball by adjusting the PH of everything we put in it . . . .

It's going to be interesting to see the PH of what you end up with after mixes, to have a soil PH like that, I reckon it might be a weee bit on the acidic side . . . .

Yeah my soil meter is an analog probe type. I just checked the trichs and one of then is still mostly clear but one is almost 80 percent cloudy, should I start flushing that one now or keep feeding it?

What strain is the one you checked the trichs of bro? What is it's growth schedule, and where you at on it?? (How many weeks flowering does the breeder suggest.)

The strain is purple kush x white widow, the schedule says it should take 8 weeks and today is the start of the 7th week so that would mean 2 more to go but I know that is just a general statement by the breeder

Sorry bro, I missed this post . . .. perfect . . . . .use the tap that is not connected to the softener, just to be safe :)

Ok, well, as they are so under fed, I think we can afford a couple of feeds, as I'm sure what ever we put in, is going to be burned off pretty quick, sick n yucky tasting buds generally come from a long life of being over fed / ill and not getting a flushing.

As you'rs has had an under fed regime, certainly in the last 2 weeks, we can put off flushing till middle of next week. You'll probably find a couple of waters with 0.25 strength fulvic, humic n molasses in the last few days will be enough . . . . .
