First Grow: Indoor Grow Tent

I need some help since I am new to this! I have a 600 Watt MH+HPS grow light, 4'x2'x5' grow tent with mylar covered inside, 2 240 CFM fans (1 for bottom intake fan, 1 for exhaust and Carbon Filter), 1 small oscillating fan to ciculate air and promote strong stems. I feel very confident about everything so far and will be adding to my customized grow tent. The one thing I am still trying to figure out is my grow medium. I have a general idea. I am thinking about using Fox Farms Ocean Forrest Potting soil. I was then going to buy the 3-pack of liquid nutrients including GrowBig, Tiger Bloom, and Big Bloom. I heard this was the best soil and feeding combination. I am going to germinate my seeds in cheese cloth. By the way I am purchasing 5 feminized Northern Lights from Nirvana as soon as I get my medium figured out. My question is, Once my seeds germinate in the cloth and I transplant to the soil, will the soil support the seedlings until the time I decide to start feeding? I was taught not to feed until about 3 weeks after germination. Also, how often should I water my plant and how much water should I use during each stage of growth?

sounds like your setup will work fine as long as it doesnt get too hot in that space with the 600 in there. might want to get a air cooled hood to attach those fans to. ocean forest should feed your plants for about a month. and only water once your soil dries almost all the way out. just stick your finger down into the soil to tell. and give just enough water till it starts coming out of the bottom of the pot.

Thanks man I appreciate it! My light system does have a 6" cooling tube, which I will install a 6" inline fan to cool. I have the feeding schedule for the Fox Farm nutes. It says to feed every other watering. It gives me a ratio of a certain amount of tbl/gallon of water so I will premix my nutes and just add them every other watering. How much nutes do I use when I feed? I appreciate anybodies input! Any other tidbits or info that will help me would be greatly appreciated as well!

You say that the ocean forest will feed my plants for about a month. If im feeding and watering as needed do i need to transplant the plants to another fresh batch of ocean forest or can I use the same soil from start to finish?

Im still in the process of buying everything. I've only got the grow tent, lighting system, Ocean Forrest soil, and the nutes that I am going to use. Im waiting on my ventilation system to come in. Hopefully I will be set-up and growing in about 2 weeks. I will post pictures once everything is set up.
