Trimmed and hung to dry, husband away til end of next week so should be dry when he gets home. I'm very chuffed with myself

...aahhhh ..its a grand feeling isnt it? I'm just taking a ten minute break from trimming this lovely baby down today.
It really is a bittersweet feeling chopping her down like that but.. Wow.. is she ready. And she radiates with aroma. Love the process and cant wait to meet her in four weeks!! I'm cutting the buds pretty tight so its taking forever to do. But l'll post pics later when shes ready..
How are you curing her? And what strain?

It was a bag seed from a good bag of lemon haze. I plan to dry for 3-10 days then cure in a glass jar for a week/two or so I couldn't wait months I don't have the patience. It was very strange cutting it definetly bitter sweet and my house smells dank so I've every window open and Scentsy burning took me a good two hours to do it from start to finish

Any advice you have on curing gratefully received I've followed everything online on one webpage from start to finish she has been with some issues, hermied at one point but it was so little it was saveable I just checked n plucked I had read to cure in mason jars 75percent full and open and let it breath each day but some people have said to do this for months

I still have some left in the jars going into 4 months now and I swear...the longer it stays there the more potent it becomes.
The first week of curing, I breath it often as possible. The second week, once a day. Now, once in a while, I'll pop it open, that is if I remember to do it. Also, I would roll the jar to its side and slowly turn it upside down, just kind of evenly spread the curing process

Just trim what you dont want it off.. you can fine tune whats left of your plant to your liking.
Thats cool. Im growing a super lemon haze myself. I swear there have been a couple of times i swore she smelled like lemon pledge.. but shes got another ten days at least before she comes down. She doesnt have that aroma fully yet so i hope to have my cure down better by then.
As for my curing, i ended up jarring the buds in a recent blueberry too soon. rH was 84, so i set them up in a completely light free environment with humidity set to 60. Last check in rH was down to 74 bottle. Im leaving these open for two hour cycles..so ill.keep doing this until i can get these under 70. Once i get that ill start burping once a day for an hour and watch the effect on rH and thus.. see how much time between burps until you dont have to. Im just watching how the plant looks before deciding on a final rH to achieve. At least thats the theory. This is my real first attempt at this with a decent controlled drying environment. Heres a pic..

Well here she is. Took almost 7 hours to trim. I gotta get that down but i wanted it tight. Hopefully there are enough sugars left in it to turn the righr flavor. Have one more of this strain.. but shes a shrimp compared to her larger sister. Anyway, ill hang the whole plant up and take the dry more slowly as i go to see if it has a better effect on aroma and taste. Heres how she looked before i hung her up.. i only clipped one bud off the whole trim..

This is what I am doing ATM(works great for me).
Everyone has their own way they like as long as you don't over dry or mold you are golden..
Cut N last 12-14 Days.
During the last week I prune off big fan leaves.
(Don't wet trim)
Cut plant at base and hang the whole thing upside down for 48 hours.
Chop it down to branches and hang those for another 5 days. @55% (controlled dry).
Trim it, put into non airtight tubs with hygrometer(s) popping lids and shaking periodically until it holds a RH of 56-60% in those.(controlled dry)
Manicure (if needed)
Transfer to jars or whatever final cure happens in for you at hold RH of 56-65%
#NoLight during dry or cure.
#Temps&RH under control.

..yeah, I learned my lesson. I just wanted to try that once to see what it would look like on the plant. Now it will interesting to see if theres in a difference when i cure it with its sister. I will hang dry her for a week before i touch it again. Trim right before i bottle. But ill never do a trim like that again..You trimmed her while she's in the pot? No wonder it took 7 hrs

I got just under 2oz of bud so for a first grow I'm delighted I won't grow again for a while as we had a visit from the police the other day, an incidental one a first for everything there timing was horrendous I'd just burped my jars and they asked about th smell I owned up to using it for pain management and have rheamotology dr this week so they turned a blind eye but it was enough to say never again, not for a long time anyway
