First Grow - looking for help along the way.

For my first grow I'm using the 5 freebie seeds that came with my order from Nirvana. 4/5 germinated. I'm doing DWC grow with 600w mh veg, 600w hps for flower, GH flora series nutes. I originally had all of them in one tote. I don't have a picture of this set up but here each plant is individually at day 6.

It's looking perfect so far. Are you making sure you're able to maintain your res temp?

Day 17 - have these grown enough to top? I think 4 is, 2 and 3 maybe need a few more days?

Wait until you have 4 or 5 pairs of tops separated from the main top. 4 if you're not going to veg for too long or 3 if you want to let them grow a bit. Pinch off the first pair of tops that would be your first pair of branches. They're always stunted compared to the rest of the plants.

I planned on not vegging too long, so cut between the 4th and 5th node?

Just above the fifth node after it's fully separated from the main top. After pinching the main top and the lowest pair of branches you'll be left with 4 pairs of branches. You may have to train the branches out just enough to open the middle of the plant but you'll end up with a pretty even symmetrical plant with 8 main colas a bunch of solid secondaries and not too much larf even without cleaning up the understory.

So its now day 32 for me. I topped the 4 plants on day 25. Around this time I think I was starting to get mild root rot, but swapping my frozen water bottles one more time a day has the roots looking much better. Any feedback/suggestions?

They look great. Just try to stay on top of keeping the water in the right temp range to maintain good dissolved oxygen levels.
