First Grow - Need Advice

I'm germinating some seeds (2) as i type this. I'm not sure what the strain is, but when we smoked the ounce i got them from, it was good shit.

Ive set up a little grow box, very small, its stealthy. Only has about 11 inches height, and i would rather they wouldn't start to flower and smell in there. So my plan is to transport them to a large abandoned allotment area near where i live. Ive found some good spots, the only problem is, that we are in winter at the moment. From my newb perspective, this either means they are gonna flower pretty soon after being planted outside (im keeping them in 18 hours of light in the grow box), or just die.

What are your impressions from my plan? What do you think?

you're taking a chance with bagseed.. my experience is they often hermie.

theyre onna be toast outside in the winter.. if you cant find somewhere inside for them until they get to your required height, i'd quit now.
i guess ya could see how they go on the window sill, but i'd expect em to die..
you can always get more seed when the weather is better and more suited to the plants needs..or build a grow area.

Hurm. Ive read (and heard) that growing in winter is possible. But i will just get very low amounts of bud. I don't mind them flowering at the 11 inches space they have inside my box. I'm just very social, i have lots of people in and out my house weekly. I don't want the place stinking of weed. So, if they grew to 11 inches inside the box, then i flowered them outside, do i have a hope in hell?

i guess its possible..
bear in mind that most plants double or triple their size during flowering, youre gonna need a cabinet that is in excess of 33" tall, and allow room for lights.
If you flwered when it was 5" tall during veg, you could contain it in your cupboard/grow space..
I'm not sure how much a bud that small would smell...i'd be inclined to say not much

Hmm. Interesting. From the grow rooms i have seen up close and personal, very few plants can smell very bad. I don't want to take the risk.

The seeds cost me nothing, so ill try planting them outside after they outgrow my box and see how it goes

Sure will. Need to get some lights tomorrow, is it possible to wire up like wall lamps to mains plugs? I cant really find anything that suits my box that natively plugs into mains.

You can easily wire up a regular socket to any extension cord... It's not a problem at all.

Or, go to Home Depot and pick up a couple of their cheap 50w HPS security lights for around 30$... Not all stores have em, but I'll be damned if they're not useful. 50w per plant is perfect, just add in a bit of side lighting during flowering.

Also, if you set up your box fan to be covered with some activated carbon mesh, it'll absorb alot of the smell.
