this plant is starting to drink a lot! I checked it before I went to sleep, woke up and it was almost a half gallon down.

still no ppm, I'm broke but I have noticed the plant seems to to really perk up when the water gets lower. next water change should I up the nutes a little?

Trust me, I know how you feel I'm in the same boat... but I have a shopping list made up and hope to go shopping by this weekend.

I just started feeding mine too and I started them light... a capfull-per gallon... and since I change the rez every 3-4 days I will add a capful with each change for as long as they keep liking it... If they start showing any signs of burn, I'll know to give them one less capful.... kind of touch and feeling it.

Getting that tds meter is going to make things so much easer.

Up the nutes a bit and keep us updated.. have fun man.

Go ahead and cut the dead tips... they are not going to green up at this point, and will only provide food for nasties, like mold.

when I fill my tub when it starts getting low should I add nutes to the PHed water I'm using?

No... As the rez gets lower, your ppm's usually go up... adding more nutes to the water you use to top your rez will give you more ppms and you could end up burning them more....

I would just top with pure water... check the ph of the rez after topping off and set it and next time it needs more water..... dump it all out and start all over..

So you will.....
-do a complete rez change with new nutes
-when water goes down, add just water
-when water goes down again, do a complete rez change all over again.

This should keep you stable until you get a ppm meter and can better control what is happening in your rez.

well I'm on my 6week of flowering should I switch over to water only in my res now?
also should I flush my hydrotrons as they have salts on them in some areas

Don't worry about the hydrotrons... after you hack the plant (that sounds so evil) you can wash off the pellets then.

If you are at 6 weeks you should be getting ready to harvest, so yes... start flushing now..... but you could have late flowering strains and such so keep an eye on the trichs first... if about half are redish/brown... then you are good to go.
