First Grow Need Some Pointers part 3

Hey whats up fellow smokers

so I started my grow on 10/09/2012 ( clones )
I currently have the ladies sitting in 2.5 gallons in Fox Farm Ocean Forest potting soil
I am running an 1000w MH light with reflector. light cycle is 18/6
I fixed my temperature issue went out and purchased a portable AC
I also switched my HPS to MH roughly 2 weeks ago
I have been using Fox Farm Nutes. Grow Bigg & Big Bloom.

I have a few questions for the experienced growers on here when should i switch my light cycle to 12/12
are they ready to flower anytime soon? why are they strectching so much?

Fan at height of light blowing across light rays will prevent burn and can lower the light reducing stretch. And increasing light potentcy.

Next I would think about that sativa will grow 50% in height and maybe 200% in growth in flower.

Also making a tea would benefit these girls. Will make an awesome source od nutrients for your plants. Id keep for another week clone now and flower in 7 days

First are they clones or seedlings?

Noticing the rockwool cubes I am assuming they are clones. You should flower at half the height you want them to finish. They will usually double their size.

They could be stretching because your light is too far away or it could be the genetics. I have some that stay short and bushy and some that just shoot up. You can fim/top/ or LST to manage the vertical height.

They look pretty darn helathy to me otherwise.

look nice, and sure they are ready, up to you and your space, will grow a lot fist few weeks of flowering, do you plan to repot em ? then do it now and wait a week to switch ..

thanks guys. well the reason why the lights is high is because it burns the shit out of the top leaves lol
make a tea for them? what exactly do you mean? should i repot them or can they stay in the same pots?
the ac broke my pockets if they can stay in the same pot it would be awsome lol

if it was me, I would use the few bucks on some 5 gallon pot`s and some more fresh soil, plants will thanks you, by Yielding better, nothing worse then a root bound plant in flowering ..

I would put them in flower now. You originally said you went from using a hps lamp to a mh. It's kind of backwards man. That could be your stretching issue. Put them in flower and use the hps and give it hell! They look nice. Good luck!

nahhh please dont ask us that, its your plant`s, we dont even know the strain ..

if Indica its normal for a 7-9 weeks flowering time if stavia up to 13 weeks ! do some research ..

Next time use bigger pots. I use 7 gallon tall and skinny pots. I have no problem with hieghth. Plus I top and super crop my plants. I do a scrog so I want my plant to grow out not up. By taking a lower node u give a growth spurt to the next 2 nodes. This way I have a one level canopy. I usually can pull 8oz or more of dried bud off 1 plant under a 600w hps. I just acquired a 1000w switchable ballst I am using it to Vegg right now. Cant afford an HPS bulb. Anyways here's some Pics of my Afgoos I got on 10-20-12.
