First Grow. Nirvana Short Rider with Pics

Hey all,

I originally had posted in the newbie thread but figured I would come over here since I spend more time in this one. This is my first time growing and I must say, it is super fun!

I started Judy out on May 12th so she is 29 days old as of today.

Soil is composed of some no-name (yellow bag) soil with perilite and vermiculite in a 3-1-1 ratio. I just added half of a flower tab for nutes with her last watering

Currently have 8 lights on her for a total of 200 actual watts, 6 x 27k and 2 x 65k

Nice plant. Interested to see how much it yields.

Thanks for stopping by laboratory. I am not really quite sure how much to expect for a yield but anything I am able to vaporize would make me happy since it is something i grew myself

Nice pic for first grow.I grew some shot ryder in the same set up you got out of 2 I yelded 1/2 oz of bud and 3/4oz of shake which I will be making honey oil out of the shake,the stone was very nice not to intence but it laid you out on the couch,my friends liked it.

Thanks for smoke report wing nut, that is exactly the kind of stone I am looking for, nice and mellow.. That is not too bad of a yield either, I don't smoke much and this is just for personal use. I only started one plant to get the temps, light and smell all in order, once this is done I will throw the other 4 seeds into pots and will be set for months.

I am still not sure if I want to make oil, hash or budder out of the shake yet tho but i guess I still have a while to make up my mind lol.

I know I haven't posted in a while on this thread but have been super busy with work. Here are a couple new pics of my girl at day 43 from seed. She is really starting to smell up the house, even with the closet door closed so I may need to look into making a scrubber since the Ona is not working as well as I had hoped at this stage.

I'm not sure about the size of your room, but if you're working inside a cabinet or a grow box, I built a small carbon filter exhaust fan that works pretty well. It's a pretty simple variation of some DIY scrubbers posted throughout RIU. Looking back, a more powerful fan may have been appropriate, but the $30 4" -inductor- vent booster that I used works well in my 16 cu. ft. box.

I can't really do a scrubber unfortunately. Grow is being done in my closet and I can't make any holes in the walls or ceiling or the wife will kill me. I have a couple of those Febreeze True Air purifiers in the closet now and they seem to be doing a decent job, I can only smell it when I open the door now.

I really like your light set up btw, was looking into doing something like that for my next grow.

Not really much of an update, I have noticed that a couple of the top fan leaves are turning yellow. I know that is supposed to be normal during flowering but I am wondering if maybe there is something wrong with her.

I gave her 1/2 a flower tab for nutes and only water her every 3 or 4 days with about 1.5 liters of water, depends on how light the pot is. She is presently 49 days old with 20ish days left till chop down.
