yeah i hear ya man, i gave it to a friend a couple weeks ago. I didn't want to kill a perfectly fine baby! I only had room for 8 plants and i thought about keeping it but i wanted it give it away more. thanks for checking out my grow!

so tonight is sunday, 3/28 and i changed the light to 12/12 on Monday, 3/22. I installed a 4" exhaust fan at the top corner of my closet to passively move air through the room while the door is closed. There is much more suction at the intake hole than before, and i have another 4" fan on the way to go there, making it active. Hopefully this could work to cool the light when it's on during summer, when my cool open window breeze quits working (goddamn these HID lights! ).

Following a personalized BioCanna feeding chart i found online, i only fed with an increased dose of bio-vega during this weeks feeding. It says to add zero bio-flora or bio-boost till first signs of fruit formation. I fed them a couple days ago and they liked it. Next feeding will be with plain water.

I'm thinking about trying to take some clones but i don't really have the space. Regardless of if i take cuttings or not, DO YOU GUYS THINK I SHOULD TRIM THE PLANTS AT ALL? I've read that trimming the lower foliage just eliminates popcorn and makes cola's bigger. If i do trim do i trim everything low, including the little fan leaves, or should i leave those, just trimming what would bud? Please any help would be great! But personally, i don't really want to trim them cause they're beautiful.

(pictures taken on 3/28 on DAY 45 of life. It's a pretty decent canopy. I try to switch around the plants every couple of days and i rotate the outer plants daily. The LST tops are almost equal to the shortest regular plants! The fim'd plant looks fucked up on top and is the tallest, at a little over 14". The topped plants aren't much shorter though. The last pics are of the beginning bud hairs in case ya couldn't tell yeahhooo!!!)

P.S. I could snap more pics of anything if anyone wants. Sorry there's so few but I just don't know what more to take pictures of. But just wait till dem buds start to arrive!

Hey nice looking plants there. Thats a tidy grow room you got. I also grow 8 (but 6 survived) a time and am growing Nirvana NL at the moment. Should be harvesting in about 3 weeks check out my grow if you wanna see what to expect.

thanks man. I read your journal that's a bummer what happened but at least you got some beautiful buds coming along. It's funny cause we're both using the exact same nutes and i fucked up a fim too haha!

I wouldnt trim if i was you, especially during flower. When i read UNCLE BENS TOPPING thread he was saying something like trimming is just cutting off healthy foliage and healthy foliage means big buds (or something like that). Its up to you but i think this guy knows his shit.

hello all it's the end of flowering week 2 and they seem to be doing great! I need to feed them tomorrow and i'm not sure whether to give them half vega half flora or still just vega cause fruits are starting to form (barely). I think I'm just gonna give them 2.5 tspns per gallon Vega like recommended by BioCanna. They've grown so much in just the past couple of days. They stop growing when buds start to get fat right? hopefully haha

I want to order some seeds for grow 2. Any recommendations? I want to try "The Purps" from Bcseedking. Or something from TGA subcool. I really want to grow a sativa. Would a sativa be hard for a second grow? thanks for any help

(pictures taken on 4/2 on DAY 50 of life. I got some nice buds coming in woohoo! I also left my plants too close to the light, ouch. The last pic is the only damage though. part of 1 plant, and only 1 budsite got scorched. it happened real quick as i check them religiously.)

waz up? So i fed them last night and they really perked up. Next time they're thirsty I'm gonna flush them with water than start them on Flowering nutes. They're drinking more and more everyday.

It's beginning of week 3 and the NL's are a little more hairy than the WR's. 2 tops on a WR have yet to show any hairs on top, which is freaking me out a little. I really don't want a hermi on grow 1 cuz I'm not sure exactly how to spot it. I'm sure they'll pop out any day now.

Temps range from 73-80 depending on the outdoor air temp. It rarely gets above 80 though. I've had my humidifier off for 2 days now and the humidity has stayed at around 48%.

hello it's saturday, i'm bored so i'm doing a quickie. i started taking pics last night but my camera died haha. i snapped a couple while they were asleep but i don't like doing that cause they look so damn droopy! The close-ups are of Northern Lights i believe. I'll post more in a couple days. I still got a White Rhino with barely any hairs on its tops! The others are budding nicely, and she hasn't even started. I'll post pics of that fo sho

Niiiice. Everythings lookin good man! Keep up the good work! Nice to finally see osme nice buds growin on ya plant huh? This is the best part of the grow!! (besides chopping it down and trimming all the leaves off) Its nice to see your plant finally give you something in return. =)

thanks a lot dude! yeah it's amazing to see these go from sprout to buds. I can't wait to trim them i always think about it. Even if it takes forever i'm sure i'll enjoy every second of it. Whatever comes from these girls i'll be more than happy with.

hi so i gave them their first drink of flowering nutes last night. I can't believe how much bio-boost it calls for! I have to order another bottle.

So the White Rhino that had no hairs has got some now barely coming in. I don't know what's up but i guess it's gonna take longer to flower. here's a pic:

The buds haven't seemed to grow much in the past couple days. Is that normal or do you think i did something? Or do they go slow for a little while?

The only thing I would have done if it was me is getting the lights closer. The closer the light without burning the tops - the better.

I.E. you get 10 times more lights at 6" than you get at 21". 10 times - that a LOT.

However, you should alwayws check the temps at the tops when doing so.


Also, I'm a huge fan of venting. I would have got another fan to blow on them to discourage mould and help to drop the humidity. (after week 4 you should aim for a very dry room. even 5% if you can. It encourages resin building)
For instance, I use a 20" industrial fan to blow on my 60X100cm SCROG (400W) and a 80cfm vent pushing air from outside on part further from the vent.
(and a 380cfm vent as an exhaust for my 2x1x2.4m room with a passive intake that changes the air)


If you need any help, just ask.
I'll be checking your seeds thing in a second.

thanks dude and thanks for the advice on the seeds and the grow. the humidity was getting a little high with the door closed (48%) so i just installed a 80 cfm fan at the intake to pull air through at half hour intervals during lights out.

Is it okay to have a fan blowing on plants with buds?

thanks again for the comments. I was gonna germ just 3 shiva skunks, but i'll germ them all. I heard that it was a nice smoke so i'm excited!

Its essential to have a fan blowing at the buds.
You should always have a fan blowing at your plants, since they sprout. As you advance in the life cicle of the plant you need more air movement.

When you'r planning on what to germ, consider a situation when you flower all of them.
After one run you should be able to weed out the weaker weeds, but not before.
If you have space for all of your seeds - germ and flower all of them.

cool, i'll throw a little oscillation fan on them pronto. I have room for all 5 shiva's plus a few more. I want to try cloning next grow so the shiva's should be perfect practice. Thanks man i added to yo rep!

So germ only the Shiva Skunks and fill the room with clones from them.
Running a single strain is much easier as the plant grow pretty even.

From what I've heard of Sensi Seeds they aren't very consistant and you should look for a good pheno in your batch.
Keep a clone off each of the plants in veg as the moms flower and when you see which indevidual suits you best kill the others.

If I remember correctly Shiva is a strechy plant in flowering (while skunk is a medium strecher) so you'll want to flower them with less veg time compared to your White Rhino and Nothern Lights.
I ran a few strains and running with White Rhino for 2 runs in my arsenal and its the least streching plant I had.



On another note, as your 4 weeks into flowering it should be a perfect time to take clones from your fav. plant currently to use in your future grow.

Do you have a vegitative chamber in addition to your flowering room?
