First grow noob needs some help

hey there, i'm new to this site but have been lurking for a bit...

Anyway i was gonna start my first ever grow, just a small personal grow with 1 or 2 plants in it, but before I buy everything i thought i'd seek the advice of people from here.
I'm on a low budget of about £500-600 and I have to keep it stealthy. I am using an old wardrobe to grow { (L) 47cm (H) 131cm (W) 70cm }

This is the light kit I have chosen - http://www.thegrowersshop.co.uk/digital-ballast-economy-kit-new-400w-digital-ballast-kit-completely-silent-operation-cool-running-2485-p.asp. I'm not clear on lighting though... do I need more than this one or is this overkill for the size of my grow area?

I also need some help with ventilation... :-(

Thanks and also nice to meet yo all

You don't have to use a tent since you have your space already picked. Which sorry I'm a dumb american don't know off hand for size diff. But get some panda film to line your grow area. And you said 1 to 2 healthy plants? Maybe a 250metal halide/hps or even 2 200w cfl. Cfl won't need as much venting as the hid would. But a 250 won't heat up too deadly especially with a separate ballast. Edit; saw you like a400w already that will work but you will need to adequately vent the heat from that light for sure.

thanks for the feedback, i think i'll just buy that kit, and buy a dimmable ballast? I don't think it comes with fans either... To fit the fans would I have to cut holes in my wardrobe aswell?

Personally I think 400w is overkill for that size wardrobe...250w would be easier to control the temps, imo, but I'm sure there will be others here who say go 400w. If you do decide on 400w, you'll need a very efficient ventilation setup.

For those of us in the US, 47cm long x 70cm wide x 131 cm high = 19" x 28" x 52" approximately.

Yes if the wardrobe is a solid wall you'd have to cut an exhaust. If you went with a 400 small fans would cover the heat for a 250

A small clip on fan would work out even a cheap 4 inch inline fan if you cut a hole. Otherwise a small clip on or oscillating fan should be fine. I got a air king 6 inch and its a rated 90 cfm max. Same would be good for a inline 75 would be good cfm for a filter and air pull
