hi guys,

just started a grow almost 3 weeks ago, indoor
lights cfl 46w, organic soil with peat moss, perlite, vermucilite and lime addition, ph was quite high to begin with ~7, now around 6.5
have a fan + some home made co2 bottles
temp avg 25°c humidity 50-70

my plants growing pretty slow in general but today i noticed yellowish color on one of the old leaf..dont know what it is...can anyone help me out...heres a pic
IMG_0188.jpg

ive looked up yellowing leaves, but most seem like they start at the tips or near the vein..mine are just on the sides...seems dry too...is it over heating? the lights are close but they dont give off much heat...

i over watered the other day and the new leaves drooped a bit but seems to have corrected itself over night

i did use vinegar to drop the ph, could this have caused a problem? soil ph is still above 6 definitely tho

thanks in advance, any input would be great

If you're growing in good soil with lime your pH will be fine, don't worry about it. Discoloration on first couple leaves is common, don't worry about it. If the discoloration continues to progress and new foliage is discolored, time to worry.

Most new growers problems come from over watering them, keep the soil moist but not sopping wet. Slow early growth is usually because the your growing medium is to wet.

Forget the CO2. With your tiny, tiny amount of light (that is your main problem..lack of light) the CO2 will not help in the slightest.

I also agree with the advice above. Don't concern yourself too much with the Ph. Lime should do the trick, and playing with the pH is more likely to cause problems than fix them if you aren't sure what the problem really is.

Buy more lights. Without them you are not going to get anything much worth smoking anyway.

If it is one of those connections with a big plastic clip on it then I have one (also rated at 60W) which I used up to 80W. I'm not sure I'd recommend going so high over the specified limit though...it probably increases your fire risk quite a bit.

25 C is too hot...
Get your temps lower also...
If you see 25 C... it is over 90 F some where in your grow...
Young seedlings may be able to handle it now... but in three weeks when they start growing you will need to get temps down...
Good Luck!

^^^ My guess is that the OP was using the advice that higher temperature are suitable when adding CO2 to your grow room. 25 is well within range for an increased CO2 grow. But in my view 25 is not the end of the world anyway. I've grown in a 30C tent and still got several ounces per plant. The difference is that my tent was 30C because of the 600W of light...so they were well provided for in all other areas.

Under only 46W of light I'm not sure temperature would be the most limiting factor.

If you were testing the ph of the soil you using and it showed 7 it sounds kinda high if your using pete moss cause pete moss is quite acidic. Make sure you ph meter is calibrated correctly.
