Made it through the rain and wind fine. I made a fold away 2x ridge, to support a tarp over the girls, worked great. The very ends of the plants were a little wet, shook them off. Looks like a week of warm dry wx coming. Let's finish this!
Today is watering day. The OG Kush is getting the flush, no more nutes. She got 4 gallons of RO water, then another 4, 10 minutes later. The LA got water with nutes, probably for the last time. It’s a bit behind. It’s been hot and humid, with barely a hint of wind. In the morning, I have been using a leaf blower to dry them off. If I stand back a bit, it’s just the right amount of wind. Will throw a tarp over them tomorrow night, as we are in for some rain. So close...
Found my first bud rot yesterday on the OG, and made the decision to harvest some of the top buds. Had no idea just how many buds there are until I took the buds this morning. I took maybe 25% of the OG buds. Wow. The smell is the best pine smell. My wife is going to ask where the clothes drying rack is sometime this week...
Been monitoring my plants daily, and I felt that I couldn’t wait any longer to harvest the LA Con. Bud rot began spreading much faster, and the wx has been absolute poop. Rainy yesterday, in the 50’s, and misting and 50’s today. This morning I got up at daybreak and cut what I could. Ended up with roughly 19 bud strings like the one below. It smells incredible. These buds are way bigger and frostier than the OG kush. Will dry and cure, and follow up with a final post.
All of the OG is dry and curing. Total weight for the OG is 15 oz. Honestly could have taken a couple more ounces on that plant, but between bud rot and some personal stuff, had to get rid of the remainng plant. Will post what the LA weight is when I get done trimming. Trimming every night after work. Below is a pic of the OG buds, 1/2 of them.
Final weight on the LA was 11 ounces. I threw away so much of that plant to rot. Also harvested early. The high is nice, it's a "let's get some shit done" high. Smoked some and had to to some outside chores, and loved it. Couple of times forgot what I had to do...
Next year, I think I'll grow 2 autos early. Start them lat April indoors, and put them outdoors late May. Also will grow 2 feminized outdoors. Plan to start them late May, I don't want these to get as big as this years. Hopefully I'll have a green house next year...
