First grow (pics)

Well here is a couple pics of my first plant, so far. This is the farthest I've ever gotten. I'm growing hydro, and using RW. So far the largest obstacle was getting anything to sprout. I did not start feeding untill there was a few severe burns, and I regret this horribly.

I was just wondering if I should expect anymore bumps, I mean is there a harder step than sprouting?

I germinated on Oct. 22, my plant is only a little over an in. tall. Is this norm?

BTW, I notice: starting this last week, my plant has been averaging a set of new leaves about 48-72 hrs.

I appreciate any feedback, and does anyone think I should worry about the veins, they seem a little yellowish to me, well a light green?

dont worry about it too much what you should do is get a giant gallon or something of water n what i do is i let my water sit n then it wouldn't ever get sick because of water

n your plant looks fine : )
the first seedling stage is the hardest in my opinion, if you can atleast ride it through you'll be fine for the rest of the ride

are you giving these gals nutes yet? I see a bit of nute burn on the latest fan leave-or heat stress. green veins are fine at this point, rapidly mobilizing Nitrogen, thats why I asked about the nutes. You using tap water? do you know your ppms of tap water?

Have no clue on the ppm bud. I'm using the nutes that came with my kit, Stealth Hydro. I started it on the nutes about a week after sprout, and first blade leaves were already coming in.

I was a little late on the nutes, I know this now.

Heat stress may be a prob. my stupid therm. reads mid 90's all the time. For some reason I don't believe it, I don't think it's heat tho, I think it was early nute burn, or lack of.

The hum. is always reading 20%. I know that this is low, and high temps, and low hum. don't go well together. Something is telling me that all is ok for now tho.

New pics tomorrow, you'll see what I'm talking about.

Thanks for all the support, and interest

very important you ph your water in hydro-they may still be a little young for nutes-3 weeks and up is norm. and inch tall is a little concerning, but it does look like a lowryding strain. high temps and low humidity will stunt growth. 2-3 weeks they should be growing 1/4-1/2 inch a day.

Nah there in RW so they would be nuteless and dead by now w/out the nutes. High temps and low hum will dry it out, and ya there starting to grow quickly now.

Peace

BTW I have no clue what the strain is. I'm using the free seeds that came with my amsterdammarijuanaseeds.com order.

they look nice and healthy otherwise. looks like a nice Indica that is going to be short and bushy. may want to harvest when trichs are 10-20% clear, 60% cloudy or more and 10% amber-this way you can avoid too much of a stoney flat on your ass high and have some upity to it. Indicas are generally more narcotic highs.

Ya I'm hoping for a short Indica, this would help out, since my closet is a little cramped due to this stupid shelf. Thanks for the tip on harvesting tho

I have a little space fan, behind the plant blowing all bad air out out of my open door in the closet, will this suffice? That wet rag sounds like a good idea, thnx for that

that should work. do you have a means of some fresh air coming in? you could always do a homemade c02 with yeast and sugar for better quality of air and stick it in there

Not really messing w/ the CO2 yet, maybe in after a few grows. I have a open window, about 10 ft. away, and the closet is always open a couple of ft.

you might be better off taking that fan and aiming it at the closet instead of behind the plants. that way they will get all the fresh air they need and the air movement will exchange out that bad air as well. and the c02 is very simple and emits only a bit of c02-plants have a MUCH easier time dealing with higher temps with some extra co2 added-thats a fact.

I'll look into the CO2 then, thnx again. The fan is in the back corner blowing all air out of the closet, and it's pointed a little north towards the bulb to keep that a lil cooler.

So the fan is blowing up and out. Would I be better off with your idea?
