I got the seeds from a mid grade bag and all of a sudden had 10 seedlings. I decided to use hydro ponics kit and an LED ufo . The led took 2 weeks to recieve so used 2 flourescent 55w nut bulbs with decent results picture 1,2,3 then switched to LED that is 90w but is supposed to be equavilant to a 400w hp bulb. I used grow cubes and lava rocks and a resevour cycling the water and nutrients. I originally had it in my garage but after i found bugs attacking the area i used some ortho be gone bug spray that killed all my plants!!! Besides the one I planted outside thank god. So i left it out for about another week but it didnt show any growth. I washed out some cubes and lava rocks and transplanted into a bowl which did not have a drain hole. I have been using the grow and micro base in high dilution with tap untill now. I have recently started leaving out the water for 24hrs before using the water but see no difference. My plant is on the shorter side for 4 weeks but its bushy probably due to close (12") position on the LED. I need to get a ph tester but not sure how to balance it if it is off. Any ideas on strain? And growing tips to the NOOB very appreciated. P.s i have recently cleaned out the big hydro unit and transplanted it, in doing so i saw the roots on surface cubes looked much healthier than the bottom roots which looks alittle mushy.

Be kind this is a huge learning curve.IMG_20110804_215010.jpgIMG_20110808_183733.jpgIMG_20110808_183308.jpg

yea mother had a good mind up lifting high. Im thinking about making an HID light from a car kit 6000k bulbs and a computer power supply. What do you guys think? more light makes better yields?

cracked seeds on July 7, these pictures are august 14

Bending, topping, super cropping has really bushed this plant out in last 4 days. Also added 4ML spoon of baking soda to the 5 gallon reservoir to increase PH. seems like it helped.

Got digital ph tester today its a hanna but it didnt come with any solution. Either way it seemed acurate as it had my tap water at 7.8ph , my hydroponics resevoir was 7.3. I added some nutes and ph down powder from HD and got it down to 6.7. Im going to drop it to 6.0 but slowly so I dont shock the plant also after reading how to strengthen roots I found that an 18/6 light schedual will improve my roots strength and matrix. Im going to try it for another month before swapping to 12/12.
