First grow please help! **pics**

My leaves are turning a yellowish/light green color. Most of this is occuring on the outer edges and tips of the leaves. It also seems to be effecting new growth. This is the 1st week of Flower, FFOF soil + Grow Big, Big Bloom, & Tiger Bloom. Doesn't seem to be getting any better, flushed this morning. Any ideas what may be causing this? White Widow

i believe what you are experiencing is a PH issue...and it must be somewhat crazy acidic or alkaline since you are in soil.

it kinda also looks like it may be getting burnt by your light...kinda hard to tell from the pics.

Yeah last time I checked my Ph runoff it was around 5.0. What can I do to fix this. I used 7.0 water to test it. Also I'm using a 1000w HPS but its cool to the touch so its def not burning them. I have the light about 16" from the canopy.

I wouldn't trust runoff but if it is that low then your gonna have certain nutrients being locked out

Get some dolomite lime, topdress with it and then water. It will buffer your ph to around 6.5

can you take some pics with the hps lights off? Hard to see the coloring of the leaves with the lights on

yeah get a bag of dolomite lime, dress the topsoil with it and water, regulate the PH to a more neutral reading.

Def looks like you have lockout.. Looks like your magnesium and iron are gettin locked out. I would sprinkle around a tablespoon on top of the soin in each container. How big are your pots?

all of em are 7 gallon

them is some big ass pots lol I would go more around 2 tablespoons since your pots are sooooo big

Are you letting your soil dry out between waterings? Just remember that you don't have huge root masses yet and your soil is gonna stay wetter longer.. which in turn can deprive the roots of oxygen thus causing all sorts of problems

yeah im letting it dry out, only watering like once a week lol those are the pots that came with my package i bought :/ would i be ok next grow going all the way thru with 3 or 5 gal pots?

Yes those will work just make sure not to overwater.. Premix your lime in your soil before hand. I would recommend getting powdered and pellets, the powder will work immediately and the pellets will keep it stable for the rest of your cycle

ya...i disagree with the iron thing...looks to me like zinc, magnesium...and possibly boron, or P...one of the 2. their deficiency traits are so similar its hard to tell. obviously a PH fix is in order, and dol. lime is a good idea
