Here it is, after lurking on these forums for about a month now, I have decided to make a thread of my first grow ever. PLEASE feel free to give me any advice. Just so you know, the current pc stealth veg box I have going on is extremely temporary, my girl's new home will be up to snuff, and ready for her to move into in a few days time.
My first mistake, I lined the pc case with aluminum foil shiny side out. My second mistake, I had bought miracle gro potting soil, but after reading countless threads I went out and bought some fox farm ocean forest. Third and hopefully final mistake, I lined my babies NEW home with Mylar, although better than foil I heard flat white paint or even plain white paper would work much better.
I am going for a 100% completely organic grow. Both the soil AND nutes/ferts will be 100% organic. I pour regular tap water through a brita container and then let it sit open for 24 hours to let all the chlorine evaporate out of it. Right now I am using one single 100 watt daylight CFL.
Not the best choice for veg I recently found. I have a second 100 watt daylight cfl, but am waiting until her final home is 100% complete until I install both lights.
So, since this is a journal here is where I am now.
Seedling/Vegetative Stage.
24hrs. of light
Monday September 14, 2009 11:47 P.M.
I have just planted the germinated seed into my flower pot filled with Fox Farm Ocean Forest potting soil.
I sprinkled the top of the soil with some water. Will leave light on until 5:45 P.M. tomorrow.

I turned the lights off at 4:30 today, and turned them back on at around 8:45-9:30. For now on I will keep
the light on until 4:30, then give them 4 hours of dark. For now on the plant will get 4 instead of 6 hours of darkness.

Coming on 2 weeks this Monday and have seen significant growth. There are already 2 fully formed elaves with
about 6 others starting to form. It has grown to about 5 inches and looking good.

I have decided to germinate 3 more seeds to increase my chances at getting a female. They have popped, and will be
ready to be planted in their temporary home by tomorrow.
