Welcome to RIU....dooood, I hope you got lots of space and time because it wont start flowering until late summer when the days start getting shorter.

well if it does flower it will get really confused and stressed as the days get longer and longer, but if it doesnt , then probably wont flower till sep-oct time

i think it will flower but i think i will have to take closer to 12 weeks to finish
EDIT: If i absolutely had to couldn't i black trash bag the plant an hour or so a day to make the nights seem longer and fool it into flowering?

It'll get smoking hot in that bag during the hot summer months. You'd be better off moving them inside.

yes you could take them inside and put them in darkness for the remaining hours, but a plastic bags a really bad idea, put them in a ventilated room or closet with complete darkness.

Greetings,
I am a first time grower and I am going to be growing outdoors. Is there any thing I can do to my plants to send them into a flowering cycle? I am just starting off small to see how things go with three female plants that are Low Ryder. I work at night so I can spend quality care with them during the day. All yield we be kept for personal use. Thank you for your help.

Ximpruityx you could possibly do a light depravation set up but you gotta make sure you even got a female first homie!I have heard of flowering plants in spring when the day/night hours are around 12/12 but in order ta do that you need to veg female plants indoors and once theyre big enough you can flower them outside. In your case you dont have time ta do this so you have 2 options, you can just let it go and flower naturally and the 3d should be mature by the end of sept or beginning of oct. Or you could do a light depravation where you build a frame around your plants and cover them with a light proof tarp everyday. But keep in mind that you absoutely have to be home at 8am and 8pm every single day to cover and uncover the plants.
But first of all if you have more seeds you should def plant a few more, outdoor growing can be very unforgiving and the chances of a single seed planted directly into the ground actually living, being female and growing to maturity arent incredibly likely. Dont get me wrong it could happen but youd be much better off planting 4-5 or at least 3 ta give you a better chance of having a female and it making it to maturity. I mean automatically 50% are gonna be male and 50% female so that cuts your chances of gettin a female in half right there, then you gotta worry about bad weather, frost, animals, bugs, etc.
Your best bet would be to dig up that seedling and put it in a small pot for now and germinate a few more seeds. I know you said indoor isnt really an option but if you could at least start your seedlings inside youll have a much better chance of all of them surviving. You can do this in a closet, cupboard, cabinet or even a freakin cardboard box! All you need is a few flourescents or cfls. If you absolutely cant start them inside then you can make yourself a small greenhouse out of some kind of plastic or wood frame and some saran wrap or transparent fabric. Check online, there's a million tutorials on building small greenhouses and Im talkin like a couple feet tall and couple feet wide too man nothing huge or expensive at all. You could probably build one for 10 or 20 bucks. Once you decide whether ta go inside or greenhouse (inside will be much easier) you just need ta baby them until they get about 12 inches tall and there is no chance of ANY cold frosty evenings, any frost will kill your small plants. While your seedlings are getting established you need to decide if you want to use a big pot or plant directly into the ground. No matter what anyone has told you, youre definitely gonna want to use some good potting soil or AT LEAST add some good stuff to the soil at your location. The quality of the final herb depends totally on the quality of the soil its grown in! The best thing to do is dig a hole about 2-3 ft wide by 3 ft deep and mix the existing soil w/quality potting soil and amendments like worm castings, bat guano, perlite for airation, etc. Do some research on amending soil and youll find lots of good info. Once your plant is about a foot or two tall you can transplant it into the hole or your big pot.
Once your plant is 1-2 feet tall and out of the seedling stage it will be able to fight the elements much better. Now ya just feed/water em when they need it and wait until they start ta flower. That should be around the beginning to middle of Aug and then your gonna have ta identify any males and get rid of em asap! Once youve got all females start feedin em some bloom food and cut em down when the trichomes start to turn amber.
You should def do some research on outdoor growing, this will increase your chances of having a successful harvest. And remember bigger roots equal bigger fruits and you always put a $10 plant in a $100 hole!
