First Grow Questions

Alright, my first grow is going to be a little different than originally anticipated. Here's the set up:

600w MH/HPS
Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil
Jacks Classic nutes
6 plants, each in its own 3 gallon container (3 northern light/3 blue mystic)
CO2 - Seltzer water and a spray bottle (Im going to either dim the lights or shut them off during this, we'll see if dimming works first)
And for watering Im going to use distilled water and add Cal-Mag
Also, Im planning on vegging on 18/6 for around 3 weeks, then flowering.

My first question is, is Fox Farm ocean forest soil so overloaded with ferts that it will kill germinated seeds? This sounds a bit ridiculous to me but someone said that on another thread.

Next question, how often do I add nutrients? Every few days or so?

And also, how do I add nutrients? Would it be about right to add a drop per ounce of water? I feel rather dumb asking that.

Thats about it guys. Also, If you have any suggestions or tips for me feel free to mention them.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I have rooting solution as well. Would it be best to put that on the seeds during germination?

pretty new to growing myself, with a very similar setup to yours. The ocean forest seemed to be fine for me, but I was starting from clones not seeds. Your nutrients should say on the bottle how much to mix in with water to get the proper ratio. The nutrients manufacturer should have a guide on how often to add nutrients. (check their website?) I might suggest going with bigger pots, 3 gallons seems a bit on the small side to me... but again, still a noob myself...

Pot size depends on how big your gonna grow em,ive grow a single clone from a solo cup,with 1 main cola and it was fine.R u gonna trnasplant after veggin and how long a vegg, you doing? OF should be fine for your seeds.

OP, not trying to sound like a cunt, but why the fuck are you posting newbie questions in the advanced cultivation section? It's threads like this that clog up the forums for people that are actually looking for information in it's respective sub-forum. But in case you're new to message boards in general, try to post your questions or comments in the right sub-forum in the future; and it doesn't hurt to read the forum rules. the of should be good on nutes for a good three weeks and you say your gonna veg for about that long so you probably ont need that much veg nutes but just a sugggestion. dont use full strength nutes and use part veg part flower nutes going into flowering for about the first 3 weeks or so and ween of the veg and start adding more flower if ya know what i mean. happy growing and good luck
