First grow quick question......

So my grow is cheap, and I have 2 cfls for one plant, and It is almost 3 weeks old, and not that tall. It has some mature leaves, but the first 4 leaves were yellow and dying, so I gave them more N, and I don't over water, so I decided to pluck the first 4 leaves. Is this ok? My plant grows soooo slow, because of my lighting. But It will get there.... I hope.. Any insight on that?

yeah it's ok with leaves.
2 cfls should do you ok for the first few weeks, I suspect #1 you have the wrong spectrum (6500 K, Daylight is what you want)
#2 you probably don't have reflectors on your bulbs and most of your light isn't falling on the plant.
#3 your light is too far away (up to an inch away is safe)

Could be nute burn and don't pull those leave of only if they crumble of or elts the yellowing will just spreed quicker. I would flush it those what size pot r u useing? Pics would help

Hey, here is a pic, the leaves are healthy, which is good, it just doesn't grow tall! lol
It's a bagseed from some dank Lemon G I had back in April/May of 2010

I have never seen a plant so small after 3 weeks. It'll be interesting to know whats wrong with it

I check the PH, I have the CFL's within inches of the plant, I water every few days, temp is around 75-80
at night 70.
I'm going to give it like 4 more weeks, if it shows little to no progress, might have to let it go....
Next time I grow, if it doesn't work out, I will try to order seeds, this was just a bag seed, and I was curious, and wanted to try to grow.

Yeah its a lil to early for nutes but adding more light will never let u down I still say to flush ,check ph,n,k, and p. Keep ur lights as close as possiable

Thanks man. I just transplanted it to that pot, the last one was a tad bit smaller, but had no drainage holes.
I added to N to it, because I thought it was the cause of the yellowing leaves.
You think giving it a month and seeing how it is is a good idea?
I mean damn, it's almost 1 month old and look at that size lol
I think its 19 days old...
