First grow: Rene, Girl Scout Cookies, 707 Headband, Kosher Kush and Medi Haze.

That's good to hear! Going for Bubba Kush 2.0 and Chocolate Mint for my next grow, and Blue Dream and Chocolope for the one after that. Desert Diesel sounds pretty immense too.

Here's some pics at six weeks and two days, again with the weird banded light thing but I haven't been able to get hold of a proper camera yet. They've got four weeks left to go.

The 707 Headband took a week longer than the rest to develop trichomes but is doing fine now. The CBD Medi Haze has blown up in the last week, and the smell has gone from strawberries and pink grapefruit to a more musky one, a bit like fart spray if anyone remembers that. The Kosher Kush and the Girl Scout Cookies started the get yellowing leaves and purple stems, so I've upped the amount of PM Oldtimer Bloom to 4ml per litre (they get about 1,125ml each per watering) and have added 3ml of fish mix per litre for the nitrogen.

I built a little frame to stop the sides being sucked in by the extraction fan, and I'm gutted I didn't do it sooner as it's given me about 25cm more width in there. I'm wondering what my final yield will be, but only idly as I'm more concerned with having great quality herb to vaporise. Anyone feel like making a ballpark estimate?

The last two show some yellowing; should I be worried?

Hmm, the leaves are yellowing a lot more now, even on the buds, despite the last two waterings having fish mix and more PM Bloom in them. Hard to know whether to continue with the higher amount of nutrients in each water or flush them for a while, or maybe give molasses for more calcium & magnesium. I've been giving them 2ml per litre of PM Bloom and 1ml per litre of PM Grow with almost every watering up until now. I'm watering every 2-3 days, whenever the soil dries out.

Can anyone help? Not sure whether it's a deficiency or a nutrient lockout. This Saturday will be the end of week 7 of flower.

I've flushed two plants with 5l of water, and I'll go get more water today and do the rest tonight. Should I then flush like this again next time they need water? Here's some of the leaves:

The other two have been flushed with 5l each now as well. Will wait for the soil to dry out before giving them plain water. Should I feed a few days after that, or give another plain water just to be safe? It's a shame as this its the time they should be putting on weight!

I started to get a small amount of bud rot, (wonderful British summer weather) and the nutrient lockout was well and truly in effect despite a flush and nothing but plain water, so I harvested at 8 1/2 weeks. The Medi Haze smells beautiful, with lots of amber trichomes, and was the best yielder after drying, with almost two ounces. The Kosher Kush and Girl Scout Cookies yielded about an ounce and a half each, both smelling very strongly. The 707 Headband yielded wispy buds which barely smell, so it's going into making hash. I have about three ounces of trim and buds to make hash with. Thinking of dry sifting and then making rosin out of the sift, then mixing the rosin with glycerine and filling up e-cig cartridges. Bud Touch looks like the best e-cig to use for this, in case anyone is wondering.

Next time I'm growing Chocolope in classic hempy buckets, with Canna hydro nutrients.

I made a small test batch of hash with isopropyl alcohol yesterday, which came out absolutely amazingly. Great yield, smells beautiful and gave an almost full-melt dab. I'm definitely going to do this with all of the rest of it.

I soaked the alcohol over the bud and swilled it around for 45 seconds. Then I strained the alcohol out through a coffee filter into a large, flat-bottomed pyrex baking tray, squeezing out the bud to get all of the alcohol out. I put this tray into a larger baking tray full of just-boiled water, and when most of the alcohol had evaporated off (about 10 minutes) I left the pyrex tray on my windowsill in the sun, and the rest had evaporated in half an hour. I scraped the hash off with a razorblade, and it made wispy white strands which turned into a deep amber hash when pressed together in my hand.
