first grow room build

hi i am a legal prop 215 medical patient with a Doctors recommendation i actually see 4 doctors right now every month . i only grow what the law allows me i am a law abiding citizen and a all around good person who has been married for over 20 years and the proud father of a young man in the military. i use the marijuana to help with my pain due to diabetes and horrible neurophathy.im on several medications including very strong pain medications which make me feel like shit but they help the pain on a level that marijuana alone just could not replace. marijuana helps with lot's of things that the doctors prescribed medication just can not do and no ill effects like the medications i get from the pharmacy. i have lost 75 pounds over the last 18 months no appetite due to the strong pain medication the marijuana helps me eat enough to survive and is just a great natural way to medicate my body, mind and soul.

so with that out of the way here we go

i went to the grow supply shop and bought a sun systems galaxy selectable ballast 400, 600, 1000 and turbo charge ,lumenaire 6 and a 6 inch centrifugal fan 465 cfm .so now the bathroom just will not work for this set up. i have a 10 foot wide by 4.5 foot deep 8 foot high area in the garage to use for my grow room . im going to look at grow tents today and decide if im going to build or go with the grow tent stay tuned i will make this a on going journal of my grow room build and grow and will update this with plenty of pictures.

i currently have 2 grows going on right now i have 2 plants outside 1 green crack and 1 white widow all started from clones. the white widow is about 2 weeks away from harvest i bought it from a guy on craigslist.the green crack clone i bought from the garden ablaze dispensary . i also have 4 plants inside my shower im using t5 and t8 lights for the veg all of this will be transferred into the new grow room im working on.

o.k well i decided to build my grow room i went to lowes tonight and bought a 24 inch door with the frame , 2x4's, 4 mil black vinyl ,silicon and reflective metal tape. i have lots of mylar hopefully enuf to cover the interior. i will start moving my work bench and tool box to the other side of the garage then i will frame up the room tomorrow maybe lay plywood then drywall the exterior then......any ideas my room is going to be 8 feet wide 8 feet high and 4 feet deep in my garage which has a concrete floor.

I would just build either a wood or pvc frame and wrap it in panda film. It is much cheaper than buying a tent and offers the same idea. Just have to do some work with a staple gun and tape to ensure no light leaks.

I would stop buying stuff and plan everything out on paper just to make sure you dont get something you dont want. It took me a long time to meticulously plan my grow room.

but did u say plywood on inside
and sheetrock?
if so save money and get green board sheet rock it i rated for moisture areas and skip the ply and put the money u save to good nutes and supplimnets

thanks for the info .i planed on doing the sheet rock on the outside that way it matches the inside of my garage it turned out alot bigger then 8x8..more to come

this week will be slow since it is suppose to get up to 104 this should be towards the end of hot weather here in the valley hopefully. i think i might name my grow room hope goodnight everybody.

i build my rooms where it doesnt get seen so i dont have to worry about the outside but i bet yours looks good

yeah it will be in my garage it will look like a giant walk in closet like the kind most women dream of i prefer nobody knows about my medical grow lots of people knowing just invites trouble .i figure i have all of the tools and a few extra dollars to fund this grow room so why not build a permanent room that looks good and nobody would know what is really going on in there .i looked at a hydro hut xxl 8x4x7 the best deal was 375 out the door so i thought for that much i can build a lage room big enuf for a veg room and a flowering room so i can havest .5 to 1 pound every 2 months the first grow will be in soil that will give me time to build a hydro table im so excited about this room

legally im allowed to grow 6 plants with my medical recommendation . i wonder what will be allowed when prop 19 passes here in california. i read somewhere that i would be allowed to grow all that i can as long as it is in a 25 feet squared lot. i wonder how this will affect high quality marijuana prices? right now the largest shop here in the central valley is offering harvest prices @ $40 for 3.5 grams for top shelf off season price is $ 55 for 4 grams of top shelf . i guess we will find out what happens i also im excited about other states legalizing marijuana for medical use.Washington, New Hampshire and Massachusetts state legislatures are slated to vote on marijuana legalization bills in 2010 this could really put farmers to work growing hemp and that would be beneficial to mother earth by growing tress and using hemp to make paper products ,clothing, oil and fuel the possibilities are endless hemp hemp hooray legalize today!!!!!

well 10 x 5 seems to be just right for my grow room build i cut 2 60 inch 2x4's and will fire up the air compressor tomorrow to drive the nail gun .

well today diabetes is really making it hard to do anything but run to the sink to throw up and get back into bed the sweating and chills is really fucked up. i cant keep anything down i felt really good around 6am but within 30 minutes it got really really bad i smoked a joint a few ago and i feel better but this really sucks when you have a wife and kids and your always sick.

man im really bummed about that, i will keep u in my thoughts and prayers and if u need any help or just someone to talk to im usually always near my computer

bat shit is toxic

got more done today whent to lowes and bought the sheet rock, compound joint mix and plenty of r-13 insulation. i believe i have everything to finish this room.now. the only thing taking me so long is my poor health it makes it really hard to do this but it will be so worth it .i pray to god for nice healthy bud's and better health in the future. more to come.

Damn to bad your out in Cali, I love to help another patient put up a grow room. Always a good time getting high and building something great.

Ask for help man, part of being a patient is community.

hey Mrbackhand my mom was just diagnosed with diabetes and i refuse to have her on meds so i read a book called the sugar solution and that natural cures book.. and i readthat cinnamon helps balance your blood sugar.. so my mom been drinking milk and cinnamon with good results.. also just bieng aware of the GI index made a big difference in the way she eats.. peace bro

I know you started building but for breaking down and putting up grows a grow tent is perfect on eBay they have them for cheap see my 8x8x7 tent for $160 dollars.
