first grow soil question.

ok so im planning on planting a few plants in my back yard. i started germinating all the seeds from my latest bag yesterday. my main question is about the soil in my backyard. it seems pretty good but i was wondering if there is anything i can do to get it ready for the plants like watering it, putting plant food on it, digging it up a bit, etc. i think the plants should be getting adequate light and temp. any advice is welcome. this is my first grow and ill be posting some pics as soon as possible!

are u gonna start inside with lights and move outside or just start it from outside? remember not to over water seedlings.

get a good fork and work that grond, tern in lots of compost get rid ov all them weeds and roots. then read up on it hear on rollitup!! good luck

Not sure about your soil but mine sux.
if you are gonna plant them outside you need to dig the hole good and wide...The roots rather go wide than deep. If I was just gonna get a bed ready rather than just planting each plant I would remove all dirt from a 4x4 area or larger about 8 inches deep then bring in some good potting soil and mix in a decent amount of pearlite. If you have a well drained soil in your yard you could even mix some of that in also. But I wouldnt do that where I live

i am planning on just germinating the seeds then just planting them straight into the outside soil. would it be better to put them in pots first? and how would you advise to water them? i soaked the soil this morning because it seemed dry so i was thinking it would be plenty wet for a couple days. i was just thinking i would use a spay bottle or something to water them at first though. is this ok? is there any way you could tell me a general quick watering schedule? like how ofen and how much?
