Well, I only have one bud that is showing signs of pollination in my opinion. It has like a big sac with white hairs shooting out, probably a seed pack. Hermies usually develop the male sacs on the actual bud don't they? I don't see that on my plant. The others don't have any of that going on yet. Like I said I have 8-10 bud sites on the plant so if 1 bud has seeds then it wouldn't bother me at all :D I wouldn't really like to see them all producing seeds, but if they do.. oh well, I can always grow more :joint:

Yea it was just those 3 I spotted they were at the nodes off to the side of the bud, they aren't around all my buds on that plant, and none have been on my bud. Two looked like dead male sacs.. One looked alive so i tore it off and when I squeezed it a water type fluid came out and not yellow pollen stuff, like when I did that to my male.. (I'm not talking about groups of them, I'm talking about singles.. Don't ask me why I was squeezing the nut sacs on my one big male I guess I was just pissed off lol)

The other sack with white hairs coming out however is on the bud. So that would be the ovary..

alright i thought you were having new shoots looking like it could be a sac... because thats what i thought it was at first then the next day white hairs was shooting out

Yea I guess I haven't been monitoring them real closely, I just noticed the ovary today but didn't mention it as a concern because I saw the hairs.

Looks like I had ball sacs with water in them instead of pollen.. Not many either, only developing on 3 nodes, not explosive growth either like males.. I'm just going to monitor the nodes more closely now..

pollenated seed bracts swell with water and in an early pollenation you will definately be able to see the swollen seed pod forming. I have a 3 week flowering orange bud plant that has clusters of pods where the bottom branches were pollenated somehow. But if you have hairs coming out of the pistil that means sensemilla.

the pistil is the pollen catching structures protruding from the calyx where the ovule is located. The calyx's are the seed bearing organs. I was thinking the pistil included the hairs and the actual reproductive organs. Not so.

When do the buds start to pick up growth? they're still not real big.. I've seen pictures on here where they're rather large at 4wks, (I'm only at about 3wks though) but then again I'm using t5's not HPS. Photos also might be distorting my view of how big they really are, I have no idea how big they're supposed to get yet.. I don't see any snow on them yet either, but I'm guessing that comes later.. I'm just a little impatiant i guess.

The "snow" would be the trichomes, so mine would still be clear. I'm upping the nutes tomorrow, 1/2 strength or 3/4 strength I'm not sure. Been just only watering with 1/4 strength flower everyday and saw no problems, it might want a little more, but if I switch to 3/4 I'd want every other watering for sure.

I'm running a different program for the smaller one, I don't think it needs as much nutes, but I've been giving it 1/4 strength every other watering with no problems.. Maybe it could use a tad more.

i think they really start to pack on the buds the second half of flowering. 4-6 weeks in maybe what kind of T5's are you using?

try full strength your plants are grown..but if not try 1/2 first then go full next watering..Im going full strength on mine they are loving..

I did 3/4 strength, and they picked up on growth i had to stake it as well. The buds are actually starting to get somewhat big now. I think I'd be able to go full strength no problem.. It's not a small plant. I counted the bud sites that will probably develop a good amount of bud (they're all at about the same height from the light) I came up with about 12, total bud sites is 14. If I got 5g dry off each site that would be 60g off this one plant.

T5's are as close as possible without burning. (one bud is annoying me though it's taller than the others and is screwing up the weight of the plant and how I can position the light, I've been thinking about taking it off)

They're agromax T5's I've been running mixed spectrum 2 flwr and 2 veg bulbs. The actual ballast/reflector is htg.

I'll get some pics tomorrow, it's dark time for them right now.

Not sure, it's taking up a lot of space vertically though, so it might be possible since the buds are getting good light coverage. My grow room doesn't look very bare anymore with that plant taking up so much space. It's actually not even as tall as my other barely vegged one (I'd guess the yield might be around 1/2oz off that one right now). Very bushy. It just kind of grew that way, I didn't use any techniques on it.

Some people are able to hit 1g/watt with cfls. More realistically if I was using my space well, I would get .5g/watt which would be 108g, so it's very possible. (My T5's are 216W but actually put out more lumens/watt than CFLs, they have about 92.5Lum/Watt, CFLS have about 50-67lum/watt, so my lumens/watt is more on par with MH)

Still, even if I only get an OZ I'll be happy, since this was my first grow, and learning is the main thing. Only have about 1month left of this grow then I can start the next :) Going to have to start thinking about what strain I want to grow.. It's between White Widow, Bubblicious, or some auto strain. Was thinking about auto AK47, or AK48 as well. Sticking with the same soil/nutes though. Fox Farm seems to work, so why change it.. Working on heavier odor control as well so I can grow these strains. NL seems to have barely any smell, the ona takes care of what little smell it does have so I've had no problems, but these other ones will smell worse..

I have a hydrofarm 4 tube t5 fixture that I use for clones/seedlings. I learned that 4 t5's were way too much light for rooting clones. So i took 2 middle bulbs out and have only 2 running. Now when I get my auto daisy cloner Ive learned that I only need 1 t5. So I have 1 extra t5 with reflector that I could use for my clone/seedling space and not even have to use the 4 bulb t5 and could give it to my sister and her boyfriend (good friend of mine) for a gift and they could grow what ever they wanted. Unless I can find another way to fit it into my sea of green style grow.

60g??? damn that would be nuts haha. i was expecting at least an oz from my last plant when i counted the bud sites (there were 12) and figured AT LEAST 2g per branch and guess what i only got 17 grams haha that shit dries up and shrinks more than you expect...
