I'm just about to start my first grow outside, with some unknown seeds. I have chosen a spot on a hill, where it seems like a couple of years ago tey cut down some trees and planted new ones, leaving a couple of spaces inbetween!

Seeing as I live in a fairly cold place (the temperature was like 40 last week), do you guys have any special tips? i was thinking of starting by weeding out the area this weekend, and covering it with sum black trash bags to kill out all the other plants. Next, I think i will put the seeds into cups with the bottoms of the cups replaced with cardboard, to allow them to start their life in good soil.

BTW, i have literally NO clue what im doing, all of my experienc comes from googleing for a bit and talking to friends. Any suggestions? i am Kinda a NOOB bongsmilie!

what part of europe? if you are in north with really long days then keep her inside for a little longer then she will explode in growth around the solstice!

I live in the middle of western europe. As per the 40 degrees, I don't think it went that low, it was just the weather forecast. i didn't notice it get lower than 50 though.

It kinda sucks tho, i would have to build a grow box or something. Plus, the place is like IDEAL to grow pot imo :/

Nah I mean like the spot is ideal to grow! It's perfetcly hidden away from rarely frequented paths, yet had sunlight all day long!
Kind of a shame really...

middle of Western Europe.......like Austria. maybe France or Germany. you can grow outdoors there. especially on a south-facing slope.

1) stop talking to friends about your grow. telling people will lead to problems of one kind or another.

I think it depends where in switzerland still, doesnt the climate vary arpund the country. I went during june, july and if I remember correctly it was warm in some parts and cold, with snow in others.. There was a lot of hill sides that loked like potwntial spots, but I imagine the season is very short.

Here are the weather statistics from last year for my area. I hope they give a pretty good indication, cuz i really don't want to get any more specific than this about my location.

understandable. you should have a fine time growing there. just start the plant indoors then move the seedling out of doors in 3 weeks

I would choose your strain carefully. If you actually want to grow some decent stuff, don't just throw some bagseed into the ground and hope for the best. Especially if you're growing outdoors with a short summer, you'll want to choose a strain that will finish quickly. An auto-flowering strain might be advisable or at the very least an indica dominant plant that completes flowering in only 7-8 weeks. Good luck.
