First grow using Aquaponics

Thank you. I had no growing problems using the aquaponics. Except the goldfish are getting really big and they are eating the roots. My solution to that was to put another sheet of styrofoam underneath the plants using the air stones to make some space between styrofoam and bottom of the mesh pots. The goldfish are too big to fit in the gap. It's a good place for the guppies to hang and drop new babies.
Started new grow using seeds from Attitude's January promotion the lucky 7.

THE LUCKY 7: OG KUSH, NORTHERN LIGHTS x BIG BUD, MKULTRA FEM, FRUITY CHRONIC JUICE FEM, VENENO(POISON) FEM, BLURBERRY GUM FEM, BUBBA 76. THE FREE UFO'S AUTO MIKROMACHINE FEM, CHEESE. I ORDERED GREEN HOUSE'S 5 PACK WITH A.M.S., WHITE WIDOW, WHITE RHINO, ARJAN HAZE #1 & #3. I ALSO ORDERED TRAIN WRECK AND HAMMERHEAD.

STILL GROWING SWISS CHEESE, ACID, BUBBLELISIOUS, AND NEW YORK 47. FROM END OF 1ST GROW.
FROM NEW SEEDS; OG KUSH AND MK ULTRA NEVER GERMINATED. THEY POPPED BUT NEVER PRODUCED ANY THING. WHICH PISSES ME OFF. OH WELL.
1ST GERMINATED 3/1: TRAIN WRECK, NORTHERN LIGHTS x BIG BUD, FRUITY CHRONIC JUICE FEM, AND HAZE #3, AND HAMMERHEAD. THEY ARE DOING NICELY. I'LL HAVE TO TAKE A FEW PIX AND POST THEM.

Then a week later i germinated: Bubba 76, og kush. Og kush was a dud but bubba76 is doing good. Haze #3 took a while for it to pop. I think it's the paint they use to color code the seeds.it took a couple of weeks for the paint to fall off seed. Haze #3 growing good now.

Germinating now Cheese and Auto Mikromachine. I took a small Rockwool and wet it. Then I dropped the seed in the wet Rockwool. I put them in a plastic container keeping lid loose sitting in a cold oven. Going to check on them now.

Cheese and Auto Mikromachine POPPED. THEY STILL HAVE THE SEED SHELL ATTACHED. I PUT THEM UNDER THE FLORESCENT LIGHT. SEE THE TREE HOW BIG IT GROWS...DA DA DE DUM

Anyone else growing the lucky 7?

I currently am, don't know if i'm of any help though becuase I just germed them all w/o labeling em and are growing with ufos from previous orders... Looking for a keeper i can call my own .

On another note just stopped in to check out the thread, glad to see an aquaponics system support our favorite plant... Have you flowered in this system yet? Looking great either way man.

YES I FLOWERED. I POSTED A SMALL BUD FROM queen royal dwarf auto-fem. THE OTHER PLANTS FLOWERED THEN WENT BACK TO VEGETATIVE STAGE THEN HERMIED AFTER MY PLUCKING LEAVES TO SMOKE. I STILL HAVE A SWISS CHEESE, BUBBLELISHOUS, AND ACID PLANT GROWING FROM 1ST GROW IN OCTOBER. I PLACED AN ORDER JAN. ATTITUDES LUCKY 7 PROMO. WHICH ARE GROWING NICELY. I HAD PROBLEM GERMINATING OG KUSH, MK ULTRA, AND BLUEBERRY GUM.
I PLACED ANOTHER ORDER APRIL 2ND WAITING FOR DELIVERY.

LOVE MY WEED

It's flower time once again. I started 12/12 lighting on my 2nd grow. All the girls are looking nice, green, and healthy. I made sure to clone each plant before setting them up to flower.
On top of the old fish tank I set-up another 55 gal. Fish tank for vegetating my girls. I add some fish from the bottom tank. Those feeder goldfish are so big now and the guppies are reproducing like crazy.
I just need to get some more lights and I'll be all set-up.

solid. nothing beats ap for ease and, imo, rock solid growth for cloning and veg. flowering without adding nutes is possible, but isn't going to give you a good yield compared to hydro. buds were small, but tight and very potent. here's my current ap grow with nutes: https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/559989-flowering-aquaponics-revisited.html

I've got a friend that is looking to get in to Aquaponics, I'm not completely sold on the idea but it is interesting... Good on you for trying something different than the average...

Hello it's been a while since I've written. Need a new computer and this one needs to be sent back.
I ordered from attitude seeds December promotion 2012. Started germination on Christmas. Only 3 have popped so far out of 6 seeds germinating.
1. Critical Hog
2. Boss Hogg
3. White widow (auto)
Then started germinating another batch of 9 more seeds on Dec. 27th.and nothing has popped yet.
Looking back at all the seeds I have tried to germinate from Attitude Seeds i would say there are more busts than successes.
I get more pissed off that the ones I order don' t pop and there have been quite a few. Attitude Seeds says send them back the seeds. Well how can you send seeds back when they rotted? Plus there is just too many bad seeds that I wouldn't believe me if I sent them back. Then there's the catch 22 when you say you planted them and they promote that seeds are for collecting not growing and you have a month after you receive your seeds to get credit.
So here I am again 3 out of 15 seeds have germinated.
I'll give then a couple more days then I shake them in a rolled up piece of sandpaper and then re -germinate the little buggers.
I see the new years promo is posted I probably will order so i can get a few more plants growing roughly the same time.
If you're wonder about what I have growing I still have a NY47 and a few Swiss Cheese flowering. Lost a lot of clones due to air pump failure. So I'm searching for parts to an old Danner Dynamaster air pump. The part I need is around here someplace within my fish gear.
They sure don't make them like they used too this Dynamaster air pump is mostly all metal and it can really pump out good air pressure.
Anybody else germinating the DECEMBER promotion from Attitude? How is your grow doing?

Hi fellow stoners I have a design for an aeroponic planter you can see it in the post in AEROGARDENERS

I ran my design by some more experienced growers but got shot down but I can't help but think it would work as long as there was not too much heat buildup in root chamber you could have a 10-14 site planter for under 400$

Hey Aeronaut574 interesting design. I never heard of a humidifier being hooked up like that but you never know if it's gonna work. Lets hope it does. I will follow your grow to see how things are growing. There are always the Nay Sayers when they see something new and different. If worse comes to worse and it doesn't work it won't take a lot of work to change it just make sure you have an air pump bubbling in the water. Good luck and happy growing.

December seeds not a good batch at all. I ordered January's promotion too having some luck.

January Promotion that did not germinate: 2 Afghan Peshawar, L.A Woman, Great White Shark.
Still waiting for: Stacked Kush, Afghani Kush, Ata Tundra, Ata Tundra.
Seems most seeds I germinated do not germinate. Maybe one or two in the batch that I am germinating pop. I germinate by soaking a rockwool block for a day in RO water in a clean plastic food storage container, then I put the seed in the hole pointy side down. Then I stick it in a cold oven for 3 days. Then they go under a florescent light in a 55 gal. fish tank. I used to germinate using the paper towel method but the roots were always too big to put in the Rock wool so I had to split the Rock wool in half and toothpick it back together.

15. NY 47: Flowered and I picked the buds. Now setting it back to flower we'll see if it lives.
