*First Grow* Wilting/Clawing, yellowing bottom leaves

Hello, I was looking for some help based on the attached pictures. I just started my first grow about 3 1/2 weeks ago and just ran into some problems. As shown in the pictures the leaves are clawing and wilting, and also the bottom leaves are yellowing. I just started using nutes yesterday because of the yellowing. I haven't been using nutes because I read with Fox Farms Ocean Forest you don't need nutes for about 3-6 weeks. Could this be over watering? Nitrogen deficiency, maybe both? Also I should mention that I haven't been testing PH in my water, could this be the cause? Thanks in advance, this is my first grow and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong!

They don't need nutes yet. Could be over watering could be your lights. What kind of lights?

Looks like moisture stress to me. How often are you watering?

The light I am currently running is a KingPlus 1200w LED. (I have heard negative things about these light but from what I've read from people who actually use them, they seem to work great for a low price) What could be the problem with my light, too close? Or is it not strong enough? Thanks

I had been watering everyday to every other day when they were in solo cups, now I water about every two days with the bigger pots. I have been waiting for the tops of the pots to get dry since the problems started.

Define "top of the pots." Use the lift method to tell when to water, much easier imo.

Then you'll start to notice when to water by eye in no time.

When the top of the soil is dry ill stick my finger about a inch deep and if dry I'll water. Ill start using the lift method.

For 3 weeks they look small and have a very thin trunk. That is usually from not enough light.
Definitely sounds like over watering.
This plant is 32 days old and has been watered 6 or 7 times in a 3 gallon pot since being a seedling. Might want to experiment with letting them dry out. Weighing the pot is the best way to learn, lifting it is the next best way IMO.

Thanks for the advice. I'm also going to experiment with placing the light closer to the plants.

That's a really dumb way of checking if it needs water,.

You need to let most of the pot dry a lot more than that, when its light to lift then water. As the plant grows faster and outgrows the pot you can water more often. Also when it sready to water ,saturate the pot instead of dribbling water on 2 times a day.
