you can get the regulare spiral cfls from lowes i believe they are 23 watt (100w equivalent) you have to get the 6500k it will have the color tempateure on the box..... equivalant doesnt mean shit only count the true watts..... get 4 bulbs... get a lamp kit ( plug with socket ) and get 3 Y connector sockets for your bulbs it turns one socket into two this will be enuff to get u started add a whole nother one of these when u feel u get too big and need more light..... when u switch to flower if you decide to stick wiith cfls get 2700k bulbs.

It's ok my questions are when the plants first pop up do I need to put light over them if so which king of CFL
My first grow was with cfl, u need 6500k for veg and 2700k for flowering., and u need no less than 300 ACTUAL WATTS NOT EQUIVALENT to be efficient. But the money that u gonna spend in cfls extension cords splitters etc etc it would be better to put it down for an hps growing system., when i did i was so relieved., just thinking the readjusting of lights every 2 days give me chills. With the hps/mh system is so easy. Here is a link to a cheap ones. http://m.ebay.com/itm/Horticulture-600-Watt-MH-HPS-Grow-Light-System-Set-Kit-for-Plant-Growing-/121773723785?nav=SEARCH

All depend on ur space u growing., if it is enclosed then it will get hot if it is in a big open room is cooler., any way is not expensive to cool down., i have 2 ten dollars fans from walmart blowing at canopy with no "too hot" issues...

Ffof is too hot for seedling., is better happy frog or light warrior for the seedling stage, after the first transplantation u can use the ffof., but if u are in a budget just get like i sed any seed starting potting mix from walmart and a bag of perlite. GL
