First Grow With SIMPLE Self Made Grow Box(s)

So I got some bag seed and planted it, a bunch of them sprouted 6-7 and I decided to look up "growing weed" BAM!!!! Infor over load, so after WEEKS of reading and research, I decided that I would build a Grow Box Because I am in an apartment and cant risk putting my plants outside (I have bad lighting in my apt so window growing is no good) So the first thing I need is a simple stealth setup.


I found this box on clearance for $14, its not tall enough for flowering, but its perfect for vegging, and it will give me the experience I need when its time to build a flowering box. STEALTH is number 1 priority. Soil, Cfl's, and SIMPLE. This fits easily in my kitchen, or closet And BLENDS in with decor. Timer will have Fan & Lights on during NON business hours when no one, Maintenence included will be in my apt 5:30pm-9 am since smell is not really an issue during Vegging stage passive intake/no filter



I got the Window reflector from walmart $3.50 and lined the inside wit a glue gun, but i cut it so tight its holds well without much glue, The sides are lined with cheap duct tape to stop light leaks. It holds 5 vegging plants very well, and by time they get to sex and need BIGGER pots I should lose 2-3 and still have room.


Im using 1 Plastic ceiling mount $1.49 with the Y splitter $1.99 and Im going to fit 2 42 watt CFLs 6500k spectrum And mount it horizontal

So My Plan was to just edited the "Saved Posts" so that you could read my whole journal without having to scroll though everyone else's comments... but since the EDIT button has dissappeared i'll do it this way.

So I knew I was moving into my new apt This Friday, I told my Landlord this, and they said it was okay. Well yesterday Wednesday morning 9am, I get a phone call from that same landlord saying they are putting my stuff on the curb! I am at work like wtf! So i rush home know I still have my flowering plant from the first group of bag seed in the New Speakerbox i built so i stop around the corner, and send a friend to investigate!
Here is the speaker box before and after construction...

Remember I said Stealth is MOST important. I replaced the white cord with a brown one so it looks like speaker wire coming out the back and I run it at night on a timer 6pm-6am. The speaker had a port hole on the bottom and a small tweeter on top so i just slapped a fan on the top hole(which is larger!!! ) and volia!perfect stealth flowering box.


Anyway... so the person i sent said that the speaker was on the curb and no one had touched it. so once it was in the car and the plant was confirmed inside, and they pulled off. Without police interference I rolled up. collected the rest of my stuff ( i had already started moving so there wasn't much left) although i don't know what happened to the 5 cups of seeds that i had JUST planted that Tuesday!!!!

So although i lost the seeds, i kept my plant and proved that my box was perfect! and stealthy! cause the sherrif, landlord,and movers looked at, and handled my box and didn't notice a thing. I guess they were too busy to see the POWER cord at the end of the "Speaker wire" I Also seperated the power cord to make it look MORE like speaker wires... but hey Success! To be Continued...

Quick Update, So after getting in my new place, and sorting through the mess from my last apt, i finally ordered some Nirvana White Castle Seeds.I've herd nothing but GREAT reviews about the strain. The Stealth speaker box is perfect! withe the 2 42w CFLs 2700k in there its running at 82 dgrees with the 120 mm out take fan. (im going to put a stronger power sorce on the fan to move more air)I have the 1 survivng Bag seed plant in there. I Had to Top/trim her down cause she was way to tall for the box, so I'll put some pics up in few hours. Im thinking i will have to construct a bigger box, Im just confused on how people grow in pc cases ect cause the plants seem way to big???

What week?!? IDK because of the NUMEROUS SETBACKS that i've suffered all i know is this is the 2nd week of 12/12 light schedule

any guesses?? I planted it in "Starting soil" then added simple top soil, both from lowes. Feeding it tap water and LIGHT Miracle Grow all Purpose Fert 12-4-8

The Speaker Box

My Baby isn't doing too well... I topped her cause she was too close to the lights, so i attempted cloning and since the plant is actually GROWING a week later i guess it worked!

But she grew back into the lights, so I had to tie her down, i've been flowering 12/12 for two weeks now,(previous post was incorrect and switched to the big bloom, im assuming that its working because she is drinking everything, soil is extra dry every other day, im going to get some molasses and distilled water.


I'll be Glad when my White Castle Gets Here!!!
I also used a drill to widen the out take hole, and got a stronger power source for the fan, (it was running way to low) to help with the temps

My White Castle got here today AND while checking my bag seed... im not good enough but did my plant hermie up on me? i see balls... i think

HELL YES, its a BOY! so I chopped it down cleaned the pots and started my second grow, which you can follow here
