first grow

I'm new to growing i have germed seed and and it has sprouted with seed starter mix working fine and under 60 watt incandescent for time being for another day here's the deal it grew fine for a couple of days has 2 really tiny tiny leaves ones not pulling up its still laying down and the other is laying over that one it seems it wont get any bigger now the stem went from white,green,yellow green,green, and is now yellow green within a week please help me id put pics but don't have a camera phone or web cam all help will be appreciated thanks

PS I know the light is bad I'm getting a 600 watt hps tomorrow so don't jump my shit and remember it's only 1 plant

Update: I found a 4 pack of 75 watt replacement 6500k cfl bulbs and also found the Y socket adapter ill be using all 4 and getting 4600 lumens will that be enough for one plant and will 6500k be good from start to finsh and should i add more light when it gets bigger Thanx

all should be well when you get the new lights, the plant may not survive though, you may want to use CFLs for veg though a HPS light can be alot of stress on one little plant

Welcome To RIU! Listen to the dog. Your light is worthless. Go to Lowes and buy a 6500k cfl. It cost $4 or $5 and screws in the same socket. Your plant will be much happier. Good Luck! Peace Out!

If you cant go to the store now then put it on a window sill or something......then go buy the correct lights.

a nursery by me sells 60 watt grow bulbs that screw into a regular socket they said it will grow anything and he knew what i was growing and he said anything even the funky green is what he said is this true

I'm not on acid and the charlies are still everywhere, but forget about them, lets focus on the plant.

If by laying over you mean not standing up, give it some help. Make a little strut, a tube made from the card from rolling papers will do fine.

Then pop it on the window sill, it should be fine in no time. When you get your 600w light, keep it 3-4 foot above the seedling, so you don't shock/burn it.
