First Grow

Hey, looking to get comments and crits on my grow. Got anywhere from 1-4 weeks from seed. The first 2 weeks were by T4 lights and being that I didn't realize how important airflow was, I likely stressed them a bit (and slowed them down a lot). They are all Femnized, some are autoflower. Got G13 Auto Pineapple Express (Oldest ones), Madness (The biggest one), White Rhino (The nicest looking, IMO), Lady Purple (The fastest, germinated in 12 hours by paper towel, grew the tallest the fastest. Center left plant on hydro), Jock Horror Auto (Which many have died since germ, one of which never did), White Widow (Doing surprisingly well), White Siberian and Cheese (Seems sensitive to over-watering and nutes) and OG13, Polar Light #2, Critical Kush, and a Liberty Haze getting ready for transplant into either soil or rockwool. I'm looking to keep them short, but it seems like some are stretching. The bulb is a 600w MH, I'll probably need about 3kw to handle them when they get bigger I assume? Comments, crits and suggestions welcome.

look ok but my G13 at 1 week doesn't look like your's.....under T5's (no T4'S) don't exsist..how short are you trying for if you want less than 4 foot bloom early as they streech and then fill out maybe 6 more inches!You will do fine How big is your space? I'm limited 4X4 space 6-8 plant's 1 1/2- 2 lbs.....

Mine is 4x4 as well, and the OG13 is the one in the bottom left in the 5" cube. It's not that big, but I could swear I germed that over a week ago, maybe two. I wonder why they aren't growing like crazy? At 1 month, shouldn't some of them be a couple feet tall? It seems like they aren't growing fast enough. I was thinking of getting a CO2 system hooked up, I heard it speeds up veg by 40% or so?

How old are those in the pictures? The second one especially?

Don't be so quick to dismiss. I've had to buy T4s for non-growing related light fixtures. They are tubular/u-shaped. check the link: http://www.amazon.com/SYLVANIA-Pin-GX-23-Light-Bulb/dp/B0034D9UTC/ref=pd_cp_hi_0. They are not meant for growing.

SivineDavita: The amount of light you'll need depends on how you're growing them and how big you plan on growing them, factors which are limited mainly by your space and experience/willingness to try new things.

The secound pic is at about 5 week's old..don't rush they will do better everything in time now's the time to set the root's you should be using mycorrihazze and little fert's..It doesn't matter how long it takes you to vege it's all about the bud! help the plant to be ready to what you wan't...Co2 really help's all my plant's get it see pic's not that expensive for the bud production (Not necessary for vege but does help!) take your time enjoy the grow!Co2 Boost Bucket's last 3 mont's on timer and do the job you can see bucket's and delivery system (with bead's for weight!)!View attachment 2211204View attachment 2211211View attachment 2211186

Your plant's are healthy and exactly what you are looking for don't go down the internet grow that tell's you you will finish in 90 day's ....bullshit take time do it right the first time and thumb your nose at all of them...the proof is in the bud production....I should say "Show me" talk's cheap and doesn't mean any thing. I like the circular unit with the emitter's!! Pretty cool I've done rockwool before I just feel better with 3 gal prune pot's (for big root's to aid flowering!) and a soiless mixture...Each pheno can grow at different rates as long as you don't commit the three sin's over fertilize...over water....over light....Plant

Thanks for the encouragement. Wondering how long it will be before I can start taking cuttings? I assume another 2 weeks? I was hoping to get everything wrapped up in 3 months, at least for a few of the quicker strains. The Auto PE said 55 days from seed, but that may be an entirely optimistic estimate?

I started current grow on 3-1 should finish in one month and this is avg to fast...4 month's not what you read and as I said this is rather fast! my plant's (Regardless of strain's) avg.2+lb's ea. if grown alone but in 6 plant rotation i avg 5-8 oz's each (A+bud's) and 1-2 oz's "B"...16 jar's avg...that's not internet qty's but that's avg for me and my 4X4 space w/1000watt HPS 145,000lumen's digital ballast Co2 and A.C. coolthru w/XXL reflector 32" sq. oh and 3 UVB reptile lamp's...55-60day's avg flowering time...actually for the record 67-72 day's my world! want quality? be patient it's well worth it! Auto's have had many never bloom!!!!!!other's crap weed/ruderrelis is not my choice, sativa dominant or haze's are my fav's 24% thc up..My LSD is unbeliveable (previous grow)!

The autos certainly are short of expectation. Can't even mother them, but I got a bunch of Auto Blue Cheese from Dinafem. I'm hoping they give me some pretty top shelf stuff. Anyways, are they coming along fairly well? When can I take cuttings and when do you think they will be ready for flower? And those look so beautiful, perfect bushy look. Do you recommend any kind of maintenance? Like topping and such?

EDIT: I just checked and the one in the top right of the hydro actually seems to be flowering! I'm kinda baffled, but I see the little pistils! Should I start giving it some tiger bloom? I know I don't have to change the lighting for an auto, that's the nice advantage.

The auto's will do you fine!! Top shelf and worth the time! Now you can clone when you want but if you take more than 20% plant will suffer and may even stunt! I wait until vege is 12-16" tall and take all I wan't! see pic....don't feed bloom food for at least 10 day's use mycorrihazze and growth formula...then 1/2 strength bloom! ttyl my friend.. I was correct! One of the G13 Pineapple Express is starting to flower! I assume I should start it on Tiger? And I don't think I need to change the lighting either since Autos are genetically made to flower regardless of conditions?

EDIT: Thanks for the tips! I can't believe that thing can flower being so small! I assume it is going to triple in size as it finishes flowering?

It will grow about 18-22" all bud!!don't feed bloom until 10 day's in or you risk slowing it down considerably....feed FF as chart states just 1/2 strength.1st week 12/12....don't change the light regime just use that schedule!!..don't rush..You can allway's raise the PPM's but when you burn them there's only grief...slow and steady..start tiger regime as stated 1st grow then water then 1/2 strength bloom....That's awesome! watch That G13 want's to reach!!see mine...jack

Crap, I actually mixed it up a small batch of all the nutes mixed in. Should I just let it go or try to flush it? I don't think the bloom mixed in with the rest of the res will hurt anything because I just mixed a couple cups for both of the plants and it's a 13 gal res. When should I be changing out the res water? It's about 2 weeks old or so. Not sure how I should be mixing nutes with the res, tips would be appreciated on that as well. That's some tasty buds! Do you do special trimming or is it best to just let it run it's course?

Wouldn't worry sometime's a little stress is good I just don't play with fire...if it show's signs of nute burn then flush with sledge hammer..but I doubt unless you were heavy handed it will hurt..I grow slow and steady plenty of people grow faster but I'll put my yield up against any one's..watch for any reaction from the babies I don't usualy have to deal with problem's I avoid them..clean healthy grow! this is the goal for the girl's..jack

I cannot wait until mine look like yours! I would be so tempted to pinch a little bit off early, but I hear it stresses the plant. I got 7 in flower now. 4 Pineapple Express and 3 Jock Horrors. One of the PE's in flower has drooping leaves. Can I assume I am overwatering it? The others are fine (all get the same amount of water, in the hydro system).

yeath they really don't like wet feet..slow down enjoy the grow you will be there before you know it....I pick 8-10" shaded branches and the plant just send's the bulk to the top's no stress my man...watch out for ca + MG deficiency just getting past it myself ..you must view the plant's not in the flowering light so you can really judge what's happening!!I use a camera 10 min. befor light's come on!!Your PE will be sweet! That I'vg grown before....13 oz's last plant finished at 5 1/2 feet!!wishing you the best! jack

I think I may have crippled one of them. I left for the weekend and I think it may have gone unwatered for a while and the leaves wilted a bit. They are looking kinda shabby right now, but they usually spring back, correct? I just lowered the light down about 12 inches, they are about 3-4 feet from the light now. Some of them were stretching considerably, others are staying really short and bushy. Strange being that they are all approximately the same distance from the light. When do you think I will need to go from my 600w to add an additional 1000w? Really soon? And can I use MH for flower on the autoflower? Or should I set up a separate area?

Yikes! Having some stem rot problems! My plant isn't doing well because the stem near the bottom is turning black. It's happening to a few of my plants. How can I stop this? Do you think it has to do with the algae?

you shouldn't need excess light...mist the plant's in the am...send pic of plant stem problem so I can see!! 3-4 feet on light good no lower to much and shock...my 1000 is an over kill.. 600 beter light distribution and really saves electricity...don't over react go slow and sure, what happened over a week won't be fixed in a day!!!other than misting the girl's (which they love in vege!) in the morning make sure lot's of air flow's through....not just to build stem's and infuse new Co2...but to maintain atmosphere to be not favorable to fungus and rot and mold...they are allway's present waiting for the proper condition's! note fan's in my set-up!! get those pic's up so we can see! and definately if you don't wan't a dead grow you need a clone room see mine cheap and work's...one crop out of flower and move new one in and crop every 8 week's...! jack
