I commented on your other thread, and i hope you took what i said to heart man. I would really consider changing those bulbs, especially if you're expecting "short and bushy" 2700's are going to get you long drawn out lanky plants.

Lotta people talk about this alot. Easy to find a 3-4 person discussion about the differences.

Me personally I would be going with 2 300 watters, "cfl's".. they have them right
In lowes or wally-world in the light section. Would cost ya no more then 20 bucks for
Two of them. That would be 600 watts of "actual" light.. that should do the trick.. ;)
Oh! And you need to get you some "mylar" to reflect the light.. you can use that thermol
Sleeping wrap that's also in the hunting section in wal-mart aswell! Its a hella of a lot
Cheaper then mylar is, but it does the same thing bro! Flat white paint works well 2..
Hope that helps.. later.

I would recommend rethinking your plans.........
3 bulbs that you mention, even with Indica seeds, you're not going to get short bushy like you want.
Lots more light, close to plants, and Indica dominant seeds will help some, but depending how short you want them, may entail a lot of work

Real wattage...prolly closer to 65w:
https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-fluorescent-lighting/98164-300-watt-cfl-lowes.html

You can try to control the stretch, but really, this is your first grow under YOUR conditions, so learn from it and have some fun doing it. Please give us more info...environment, size, ventilation, odor control...are you living alone? Renting? The more wattage the more heat even with CFL. Also you may cosider splitters if more bulbs are needed. What's your budget and what are your goals?
Just curious :)

You're not even reading what I'm saying shrude8.

The reason your lights are wrong is clearly outlined in all of the threads I post in, and i gave you keywords to search for. If you don't take the time to read and try to understand this you're not ever going to have anything worth bragging about, that's my consolidated concentrated honest 2 cents.

You need to be looking at "daylight" lights, not "warm" lights.

Lowes has 2 major types of cfls, blue/white light, and yellow/red glow light, yellow/red is for flowering, something you're not even close to talking about yet, and if you use flowering spectrum bulbs you're going to get a plant that's tall, lanky, and won't even be able to support big nugs if you tried.

The bulbs you want are between 5000k and 6500k for vegging on a budget, they don't cost more than 2700s, they are usually the exact same price, and the 5000-6500k actually put off less heat. 2700k (remember the way you tell the difference between these is the ONLY number on the box/packaging that should be followed with the letter K.

They might list lumens, which could also be in the 2000 range, but that's not the number I am talking about.

This is one of the most active and interactive communities I have found in my trials and tribulations., but if you don't take the time, like 3-4 hours to just read the last 20 topics and see what everyone says, you're making us repeat ourselves alot :/

I'll try to help yah out man, cause i believe in what you're trying to do, but yah gotta put a lil patience and love into it bud, or meh you need to find a different hobby. This isn't a fast thing.

True and true. I find myself repeating myself a lot. BUT, I have also been the new guy that asked questions before doing the homework. After a while, you see the same thread posted over and over and you sorta.. start doing your homework before you ask a question that has been asked 50,000,000 times.

I see a lot of PH, PPM, nute feed schedule, whats wrong with my plants, etc. being repeated constantly. I am polite and answer the questions and allow the community to PM me with questions.

Whymedesigns: yes, its annoying to have to repeat ourselves, but part of learning is also repetition. Since I have had to constantly repeat myself, the information I have to give people actually sticks like glue so I don't have too much of a problem repeating it. Teaching is part of learning they say.

I'm going to take the nice approach instead of telling you I know more. From what I see your only going to have 3 lights per plant? 2 individuals and 1 shared? I too wanted to do this. If this is the case your going to get little bud with the bulbs u have. I understand its "reg" but any bud grown well will be better than brick sh*t. I went ahead and got 2 42watt cfls, 1 for each and added some 23s to that. My girls took off tall and wide. I'm just not sure u will have enough light to make this worth your time. I'm going 2 plants as well.my set up is as follows: 2 Five Gallon Pots, Soil is homemade, closet 4 feet long by 2.5 feet deep grow area has mylar, each plant has 1 42watt, and 2 23watt cfls 2-4 inches from plants, then some spread out some random 13 watt and 23 watts to keep the light color range there. Keep me posted on this. Ignore rude ppl there are some helpful ppl like the guy above. We all were beginners at 1 point too.
