First grow

It wasn't with out a few hiccups that I got things started. I started one feminized Skunk #1 seed in a Jiffy seed starter.
I got her going and once she was rooting out of her starter plug I transferred her to a water farm single bucket.
I immediately started having problems with her, I couldn't get the nutrients right. I kept burning her, and trying to fix it.
It was hard on both of us :( After a few weeks I got the PH and the nuts nailed down perfect, but has having lots and lots of algae issues.
I ended up just covering the top of the water farm with foil to keep the light off the area the algae was growing, so far its working, no algae!

Now that I have her stabilized/happy/healthy, I've begun attempting to clone her. I've got a few in the same Jiffy seed starter I started the seed in, and more recently (this weekend) a handful in a five gallon bucket cloner more or less like this one.

I'm excited things are going well, and I don't believe it is a good idea to discuss such things with friends so I thought I would share it here :)

way to go BaHzooka conquered that hydro (i have yet to try...too lazy) yay soil

Rule #1 is don't talk about it (growing) to anybody.... (unless you are doing it legal of course) so this is a great place to talk about this stuff with some anonymity I know my friends think i''m weird when randomly i'm spouting organic gardening tips, experimenting with LED lights and mention checking ph when i see sick plants etc. so it sneaks out but i do it a lot less when i'm out here every day :)
Welcome to RUI btw and good job on the grow so far..... flowering soon? bongsmilie

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! :)
I am planning on keep four total as mothers. I've built (mostly complete) a constant flow system that can fit 9 plants. I'll be running the other clones that make it as my first test run to see how it goes/work out all the kinks. I plan on doing a scrog, I'll definitely post pictures when it is all set up and running :)

I'm having a little trouble mastering cloning. The aero-cloner I built isn't quite working as well as I had hoped, but I think I know what the problem is and how to fix it. The issue (I think) is that not all of the sprayers are reaching my cuttings. Other than taking longer cuttings in the future, I'm going to turn off half of the sprayers (put plugs in their place) and see if that helps. The alternate plan is to switch to a different kind of sprayer, something with a taller spray pattern. The contingency is a stronger pump.

I did get one of the cuttings to take in my Jiffy seed starter (is now going to be one of my mothers). I also moved the Jiffy starter to my garage where its nice and warm, hoping this will speed up their metabolism a little bit.

I'm going to build my screen tomorrow (doing and scrog) and hook up a pump to my NFT system I built. pictures to come.

are you using any rooting gel or powder? I have been using rootech has not failed me yet :)
might want to spray the leaves as well you are keeping them covered? indirect light if possible?
i know you said the sprayer wasn't reaching the cutting but moister from the leaves will buy you some time to figure it out
though they look good and moist from the pics
cheers

Feeling good about things now, all nine of my cuttings in the aero-cloner have sprouted roots :) I'm not using any powder, just plain old tap water. They are under very lite light right now. At any rate, thanks for the advice!

On a side note, my mother plant is doing marvelous. I put all my eggs in one basket by planting one seed and so far I think she is a beautiful specimen!
