I thought it would be a good idea to keep a journal of my first growbox build and first grow. I'm basically starting at step one here, allowing any tips or help I can get.
I have an old foot locker, which I believe to be a nice size for the type of grow I'm shooting for.
Shoddy mspaint blueprint seen below:
I'm open to any suggestions of parts to use.
For the bulbs, I'm unsure of what wattage/lumen CFL's to use. I've had 3 x 26w 5000k CFL for veg and 3 x 26w 2700k for flowering in mind, would this work?
The fan I've been considering just a 120mm computer fan, seeing as how it's such a small space. Would I need something bigger?
Also, I'm unsure of which strain to grow. Narrowed it down to Big Bud, Northern Lights, Barney's Farm LSD and Bomb Seeds Medi Bomb.
Looking for something that will grow short enough for my box, low smell, good yield, good potency. I'm thinking auto seeds would be best for my type of grow, opinions?
I'll be staying on top of this thread through the whole process. Currently I'm working on cutting out the input vent in my box. Any questions will be answered and all help appreciated.
