First Hydro Closet Grow, too crazy

what up,
posting bc i have some concerns with my current grow.. doing some strawberry cough in a homemade [too sick] bubbleponics setup under a 1000w Hybrid HPS/MH Dual Arc Lamp in a makeshift hood w/ fan in a 3x3x6 closet. i have like 3 fans in there circulating air, but its getting craaazzzy hot in that bitch like 95F now my seedlings are only i'd say like a week old only has the 2 little blade leaves.

my concerns are that the 1000w being too much for the little ones? am i right? i have a full spectrum flour tube that i was using, should i goto that or what? thanks

bump.. help me out i'm worried i stunted their growth completely... i turned the hps off for the time being. thanks.

Just my .02. You have far to much heat and overkill on the lights for a week old seedling. I'd suggest going 18/6 w/ some flouros a few inches over the canopy. Sounds like heat is going to be an issue for the grow, any chance you can exhaust some of that heat?

...also if anyone is interested i have a brand new another 1000w one of these hybrid bulbs for sale its a AgroMax Hybrid Dual Arc Tube 1000w HPS/MH Horticultural Lamp paid $179.99 each for them. also have an extra 1000w hps ballast for sale. trades maybe too. pm me if interested. I really need my problem responded to also haha. Legalize.

i have 3 big fans at the bottom blowin up and to the top of the closet.. also have another blowing across the leaves.. still too hot tho, 87-89F at best :/ im tryin to get rid of my 1000w shit n get a 600w setup. figure it will work out better for the small closet until i have the room to use my 4x4 growhut.. so i checked this morning after the seedlings had some dark time and turned on the flouros... no growth at all.. should they be trashed now??

just having fans in the room with your plants wont cool it down, you need some sort of small air conditioner or an exhaust system to be getting all of that hot air out of the closet...

yeah exhaust definitely seems to be the problem, not sure yet what i'm gonna do about it, thinkin about buying this 6" high velocity fan (454 cfm) off ebay and punchin a hole through the closet ceiling and running some ducting up there to exhaust out.

That will help for sure, what type of intake are you planning on having? If your closet is next to a room w/ A/C perhaps you can put a vent in the door as a passive intake site. If you are worried about light, you can buy or build something like this . If you place it near the ground and you place your exhaust closer to the ceiling, it would be ideal to replace the hot air w/ cooler air.

how would one do this exhaust if there on the bottom floor of an apartment building? could i exhaust into the walls?

I would try and exhaust out through the bathroom fan if it is close enough and you can access the duct work. if so split the duct and exhaust out that fan and no one will know the difference as its just the bathroom fan on.

smarty pants, gotta solve my problems so easily. but seriously, you just saved me an assload of bills otherwise devoted to ducting crap!
