So,been wanting to give hydro a try.I have a few sprouts in rockwool and geolite not getting any flow. So,I wanted to catch them before I get any problems.I took a old swimming pool pump and a rubbermade tote also added a valve cause the pump may be too strong so turn down as needed. So,this is what I' will be working with. Not done ready to test 2marrow then comes the baskets. Will keep updates.tell me what you think!

Got it working great!just ordered some net pots and a ph meter.I have nutes already and a good timer.I was wondering if the pump is to be run 24/7,or will 12 on 12 off be sufficent?

can anyone tell me if the pump needs to be run all the time or can I turn it off at times,if so how long having it on each day is good?

I have babies ready to go just waiting on some net pots and ph meter.so,would like to know before that comes in.Is there anything wrong with turning off the pump for so many hours a day?

Yes I keep my air pump going all the time, because the roots need the oxygen being added to the water.
