So as the title says I am about to order my light, my area is 38" wide x 43" deep and 42" tall. almost a 3'x3'x3' space. a little bigger though. my question is should i get a 400W HPS or a 150W HPS, or a 250, the 400W is the best deal, and the 250 is only like 10 dollars less. i plan on air cooling the lights, and pulling/drawing a lot of air into the room, i hope temps wont be a prob. i dont think they will be. i planned on getting a 400W HPS but i just am having second thoughts. i plan on ordering this light soon and didnt know what i should do. its pretty much between a 150 and a 400 due to price diff. if i get the 250 i might as well get the 400 for only 10 more bucks. heres a pic:

its the bottom half of a closet. what should i do?

get the 400 watt, your REALLY restricted by height though, don't let your plants get too tall before flowering as they can triple in height then.

Your space is small,A 400w may cause heat to build up quickly.Do u have outake or an intake ventalation????I've succesfully grown decent plants in the same size room as yours, but had a problem with heat.I used T-5s for veg but i did use a 400w HPS 4 flowering & got some ventilation. If u do go w/a 400w lite,i would reccommend getting a ditgital ballast.U can use both mh and hps bulbs.

i planned on getting a conversion MH bulb, but i really want to build a seperate clone chamber. i dont want to always grow from seed start to finish. i would like to have a perpetual grow with constant clones moving in and out of this flowering chamber. i want to get a couple 125W 6400K CFL's they are 14" long and build a rubbermaid tub clonebox. that would rock. my investments just dont allow a couple extra 50$ CFL's and shit right now, just enough for the 400W and vent. i wanted to get 4" ducting and a 4" inline fan for exhaust. i wanted to get a batwing reflector and ghetto rig my air ducting to it with alum. tape or something. that way my lights would be air cooled. i think the heat would be ok. with ALOT of venting. a 80CFM fan would be ok right? connected to like 2-3' of ducting. i also am going to get an oscillating fan in the middle of the room on the plants and a 8" fan drilled upside down blowing air on the light on the plywood celing of the growroom as well. i think this will keep it just cool enough. i just dont want small buds because i have a 250W HPS
