First indoor flood & drain system

I think you will be ok as far as all three of them being in the same bucket... Since you arent gonna flower them, rather, pull clones all you need to do is make sure that you do the nutrient changes. They will be competing for food and 5 gallons is pushing it for 3 plants..

Quick vital chart update.
600w about 3.5ft above plants with fan lightly dancing the leaves, top of my hand feels the nice breeze of fan, not hot, temp perfect being in the the chilly basement.

Your title says F & D, but it looks like a RDWC system, not a F & D.
Honda9898 is sexing unknown seeds in the DWC, with the intent to pull clones from those which produce female preflowers, then to use those clones to fill or partially fill a flood and drain system consisting of 1 controller bucket and up to 8 individual flood and drain sites. I also believe he will be saving actual mothers from each of those which produce female flowers as well, with the intent of logging which of the 3 (if they are all female) produce the most desired result. Thus the second run in the flood and drain system will consist of clones from the best plant-or-plants from this initial test run of 3...

That's the goal! :bigjoint:

Update.. plants doing well under 600w, going to gradually keep lowering light till I reach a happy spot. They are drinking and eating! Have added more water a couple times since water/nutrient change. Ppms down to 475 today. Thinking that's low enough to do a water/nutrient change?
Seem little droopy today, maybe leaves getting heavy..

Look good man. I don't really think the leaves are too droopy. If they were sativa I might say yeah, but those big ole indica leaves are heavy. You can do nutrient change early and it defiantly won't hurt, it will probably cause another surge in growth tho :) and that's a good thing. Do the nutrients mix the same as last time ppm wise. Do some research for the distance from bulb to plant for a 600 to be equal to the intensity to the sun and don't get much closer than that or you will bleach them. I actually have white albino buds right now because I can't back my light up anymore.. lol.

Switching to 18/6 - 600w mh today.
Posted couple pics of plants..
Growth rate is rapid!
Short and bushy!
Next time mother plants get their own buckets so they don't have to royal rumble each other. I'm slowly teasing them away from each other.
Too late to seperate them, roots are massive and balled up with each other.
Show me a pic of the roots may not be to late to separate them also what is the humidity in your room leaf roll on Ethel edges indicate low humidity or high leaf temps some times

Backed off the 600watt some, I feel the lights are too intense. Couple leafs are bleaching? Edges rolling up on some leafs and wavy.
Leafs are nice and dark green. They are drinking so much it's unbelievable! Probably fighting each other for food in that bucket. Roots are wicked!..

The bottom pic looks like a magnesium deficiency or both cal& mag.. The yellow striping leads me to think mag. I'm not really seeing bleaching.

Those spots are dried out and cracking on the leafs. Yeah makes sense, I have 3 plants in a 5gal bucket. Water/nutrient change is tonight after work. Going to have to do water/nutrient changes sooner, maybe 5-7 days instead of 10 because they eating and drinking fast.

I'll second the cal/mag.. I think in mentioned it before.... If you are still using that purified water, it likely doesnt have any minerals in it like you would find in tap water... People who run RO also have a bit of trouble with cal/mag, it is pretty much the one thing in hydroponic nutrients that is a bit lacking, partially because the calcium negatively interacts with other nutrients in concentrated bottles... I use Technaflora Magical, in every other water change.

Also, don't up your nutrients (PPM) at all because of this, it will make matters worse. Just get some cal/mag and keep it as part of your routine. Even if you end up using tap water, during flower you will still end up needing some supplemental Cal/Mag..... Another good one to use periodically is silica, it helps harden up plants and make them more resistant to pest and other stress that we put these plants through..

For now, leave the leaves that are affected - on the plant. The plant will strip that leaf or leaves of anything it can use. Then remove it when it looks dead enough to...

Just got off work, I agree. I'll pick up some cal/mag on payday. Ima just use tap water instead of purified water for now. Everything was going better with tap water, I was just ph'ing everyday, I'm ok with that. Going to do water/nutrient change now, same routine 600ppm... and next change I'll add cal/mag.
Thanks guys! Such good help from growers it's awesome!

Going to force sex on these bag seed plants this weekend (knowing the risks). If they were good seeds purchased I'd prolly cut and sex my clones but I'm not too anal on this grow, it's more of a first time trial and error with this new system I have. I have plenty of clones to choose from now.
I have all my cloning stuff ready to go. So this weekend Ima change lights to 12/12 and watch closely for those few days and hope for a female.

Update sexing... plants are growing little growths but very very slow... the biggest plant I'm afraid is a male, has a dick-like growths coming out with a sack-like look with a fine tip (picture1). The other two have growths but too tiny to tell, don't see any hairs yet and I believe I'm on day 5 or 6 of 12/12. Apologies, camera can't focus well.
