first indoor grow! 12 days old (pics)

Well, technically this is my third grow, but first time using good soil/lighting/nutes/etc. I'm growing 6 nirvana Pure Power Plant under a 250w HPS, FFOF soil and Age Old Grow/Bloom nutrients. I haven't fed them anything yet, but tomarrow is their first day so I thought I'd take some pics before their first feeding.

I just got a new camera today, I'm still learning how to focus and use the flash, plus these pics were taken at night so don't mind the blurryness/dim lighting. I'll take more tomarrow with better lighting after I feed.

Well here are my babies, let me know what you think! Any input would be greatly appreciated. :bigjoint:

P.S. There's only 5 plants in the pics because I just topped the 6th one and it looks ugly lol. The smallest one is a day younger than the rest, and also stunted from being in a small pot.

swiss210, if theres anything I've learned from this grow so far is the pot/soil makes a huge difference. the 2 plants in the smaller pots are very stunted compared to the ones in soft drink cups, and the one in the double gulp cup is growing the best lol. My last grow was a failure because I used miracle gro soil (big mistake), but this time around I went with organic soil and they seem to love it.

well the reason I want to start feeding is because the cotyldons on all the plants are turning yellow and about to die, and the first set of 1-bladed leaves are turning yellow too. I heard this is a sign that the plant is lacking nutrients, am i wrong?

Now you are in fact seeing a huge difference, but give it another week and the difference will vanish.

They look really good for 12 days. What lights?

I have 10 plants that were cloned from my 2 mothers. Two of them were looking like they wouldn't make it at all. Now they are as big as the rest. Try not to kill them with too much love. We tend to over do it when we're new.

Yeah I think I'm going to transplant soon, I took a few out of the cups yesterday, they don't look root bound yet but there's alot of roots gathering around the bottom.

I'm using a FloraLux 250watt HPS from HTGSupply, it was the cheapest one they had lol. The bulb isn't the greatest but the plants seem to like it. I'm getting a horticulture bulb soon for when I switch to 12/12.

FoxFarm soil has worm castings, bat guano, and all that stuff in it already but I've been watering them pretty heavily so some probably got washed out. I'm gonna get some guano from my local hydro shop soon for $30, but I heard you have to keep that stuff in the fridge that's kinda nasty lol.

I just got a worm composting gismo from my city. In 4 months I'm supposed to be getting all the liquid fertilizer I can handle and they eat my scraps from the kitchen. Supposedly you can control the fertilizer by what you feed them. :)

well, wish me luck everyone. I gave them their first feeding today at 9am when the lights turned on, I'm a little concerned I started too early but there's no going back now lol. I don't think they will get burned though since its organic, I started with 1/4 strength and a half tbsp. epsom salt.

I'll take some pics in about an hour after they perk up a bit from being under the light. They are looking a little droopy right now.
