First Indoor Grow! -Need advice on setup

Hey,

So this is my first grow. I have a 3X3X6 ft tent in my garage. I am using a 600w LED. I currently have four clones (2 small and 2 large). I’m about to transplant them into 7 Gallon Pots using 30% Perlite,10% worm casings, and the rest Soil. I am using fabric pots. I have two fans and a carbon filter at the top. My temps are steady at 72-76 Fahrenheit. I also have a homemade scrog net i will use. What do you all think??

Now after talking to my local hydro store the guy said the light would be okay for veg but when switch to flower he stated the buds were not as dense/big when he used the LED. Do you think 600w LED (actual power pulled 105) is enough? I have debated getting a 1200w or even larger, or just getting a second 600w LED. but again this is my first attempt and just want to have my best foot forward. Appreciate any advice on what i have so far. Below are the two small clones and the two large and my current set up.

Thanks!

Listen to him about flowering. Why are you using soil? Just wondering since it’s easy to overwater while it takes forever to dry out.

For LEDs the recommendation is 30 watts per sq ft of quality lights full spectrum. If you want to stay with the blurple light I suggest adding another 3 more of the 105w to the 3x3. IMO in the long run with LEDs you’re going to want to switch to full spectrum lights, quantum boards, cobs or strips. I agree with HotRod. Why so much soil? Do you mean like earth, mineral soil (dirt) or some sort of soilless like peat, core or composted forest products. 60% mineral soil makes for a pretty tight mix for container growing. You might run into aeration and over watering problems.

Hey guys thanks for the input. To be honest i just have done some research and soil is more forgiving for beginner growers. I have organic roots 7-0-7 mixture is what I’m calling “soil”, which has peat moss/perlite/coco fiber/pumice in it for drainage. I’m using this as the base (60%) then using 30% perlite (so should be total about 40%perlite) as well as the worm castings. I added a description.

Sorry for the confusion. My “soil” is already amended with other mediums.

It’s in the mid 80s but if it gets too hot out the temp flirts with 90.

I have 2 six inch fans moving air around and a 6inch carbon filter pulling air out of the top. Two vents on two sides at about 10 inches from the bottom of the tent.

I have been keeping up with the watering and making sure just to water when the soil is dry to about 1 to 2 knuckles in the soil.

Thinking about using some nutrients, thoughts?
