First Indoor Grow Need Help

Hey guys n gals

I am attempting my first indoor grow and i don't think its going aswell as it could I think my first mistake was mixing sheep manure into the soil im using to grow and i think they manure was old or something and it was full of small black flying bugs.....They have thrived in my soil I've tryed flushing my pots and also a natural pyrethrin but have had no success.....It didn't seem to be bothering the plants at the start of the grow but now i can see they are looking unhealthy and there is allot of yellow....I'll try to get some photos up ASAP......So i wanna know how to get rid of these buggers or is it even worth doing should i just rip plants up and start over?
and whats causing them to go yellow??

Put a layer of sand on the top of your soil and fill the bottom holes with sand as well. Don't water for a few days until the problem is gone.

You can also use neem oil and fly traps to make a foolproof combo, but I've found that the layer of sand method does it best.

Children's play sand works best, you can find at most stores $3-$5 for a 1 pound bag.

The sand from your backyard most likely has salt and bugs in it so I wouldn't recommend using it.
